iirc I think it might effect loss rate when you broke. But the almost 100% loss items still always break and such

With overwhelming energy you lose ~45% of mats on breaks. Was a Godsend when breaksynthing Gold back in the day, but thats really the only use for it (and not sure anyone even has to breaksynth anymore?). Also excludes those synths where the ingredient always breaks when the synth fails.

I can't imagine low level cooking has changed a whole hell of a lot. I'd start by looking at some of the old 0-60 guides here: http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Category:Cooking and then double checking to see if anything new has been added here: http://www.ffxiah.com/recipes/cooking/amateur

Sub on hexed gambieras is 40 leather, could do them at 25 leather but not 24. Does having t2 on sub affect HQ rates at all hehe? Could lvl mule to 70 and put on leather torque etc.

Oh wait, does having leather buff on affect if you can synth something or not?

er did you mean crafting buff affects the lvl you can synth or t2 sub affects hq or both.
Oh well lvl too fast with shawl before I realized had buff on at 25.

T2 sub with a T1 main craft makes it a T1 hq percentage.

Did you have synthesis support when you were level 24?

The previous information we had put the leather subcraft at 36~40, so your range of 40~41 still limits us down to 40. Also, I'm not entirely sure that I was right about support affecting anything.

Had no buffs at 24 and no workie
25 with buff worked, 26 no buff worked.
If buff affects it then it's 40-41, if buff doesn't then it's 40 for sure.

Easy enough to test if buff affects or not anyways hehe.

Went to test, buff let's you do things outside of your range.

Smithing is 7

Mace recipe is 24

Normal support would not let me, advanced support would.

Yeah just tested with a mule, 2 leather trying lvl 19 synth no go, with buff it let me so buff does affect it.

No, it's 40. We had a range of 36-40 before you did the test and you confirmed it was 40 or 41, so the only overlapping value is 40.

Yeah I got leather torque for mule, just have to lvl her up to 70 to be able to wear it haha. Might as well take it to 70 for t2 as well.
