I've had some free time since I came back and have always wanted to finish my Bonecraft. I quit at 72 so does anyone have any recommendations on what to use from here forward? Also what do I need item wise? I have my glasses and my apron, but I wasn't sure if I still needed the signboard, the fang, if I should get the stall, or really what at all. I've basically since forgotten everything that's needed to be successful at crafting.

Stall for sure for +5. I also recommend farming for your +2 torque. For tips on the torque, see my guide on the wiki here: https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Crafting_...e_by_Funkworkz

Good refresher on crafting: http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/571...tion-read-this! Don't know if it's been updated with stall, but the basics are there.

Anyone with a suggestion for leathercraft path after 89? 93/97/99/102 are dusk gear/panther mask recipes, was wondering if anyone had a non-behemoth recommendation to pass some of those levels.

Depending on your subcrafts, breaksynthing blessed pumps might work after you're done with tiger masks (95) to get 99. Oldie but goodie. That gets you easily in optimum range for panther masks to 102.

Unfortunately, with the demise of ENM, Eltoro leather sells about 1 per 10 days on slyph.

I did Tiger Masks to 92 (can take this to 95), Griffon Leather to 97, Panther Masks to 102, Sealord Leather to 104, Urja Ledelsens to 105

If there is a shortage of Sealord Skins on your server, an alternative to get to 104 is Urja Gloves.

Cerberus Mantle (95) - Hides are cheap, buy thread from Cloth Guild in Al Zhabi (real cheap unless recently bought out). Depending on your material costs, you can actually profit from NPCing NQs.

    After that, what Yeager said.

Anyone with thoughts on farming HQ3 stones for the level 95 goldsmithing stat rings? Supply on AH seems slow, with the exception of Angelstones. Only quick-ish option is ruby is a 50% drop from ruby quadav in qu'lun dome (sp). I could farm them for a week or two I suppose....

Crafting HQ 3 stones seems like a slow option buying rocks from npc.....a testimonial from someone experienced would be good.

Well I haven't done it in forever but I remember farming things like rubys was horribly painstakingly slow. And nowhere near 50% droprate. You skilling up?

Could mix in finding as many of the gems on the ah as you can with other recipes. Not sure what level you are but ori rings are 93 and Phrygian Ring are 94. Then I'd probably jump to Scintillant Ingot/Palladian Brass Ingot mixed in with the rings

The laziest way to increase the supply is to overbid the gems on the AH to convince people not to npc them, which is where most of them are going now on most servers. In my experience trying to make a bunch of wing swords not too long ago (needed topaz, emerald, and ruby), getting the AH price up from 5k to 10k made a big enough difference in supply that I stopped there, but presumably 20k would have generated even more. Depends on how high you can go before the skillup synth is no longer economical, heh.

95 to 97 break synth cursed schaller(helmets), cost me like nothing
then buy up all the luminian ores and make scints to 98
then palladian brass ingot then sheets to 99, or just do elemental rings to 102.

If you're breaksynthing, that's not too bad as long as you do it at times where you're maximizing your ingredient retainment. After all, you're not actually consuming the leather by successfully synthing it, only if you blow it up.

I'd do it on a point with Artisan's Advantage, naturally. And you can skip from 95 to panther masks if you've got the +skill items- +1/+2 w/adv imagery will put you at effective 99-100 skill, right at what I consider the "sweet spot" for skilling up- even if it's a bitch at that point to get ANY skillups.

Stuff like that is where having a mule or two (or just a friend) is nice. Drop what you want on the AH, buy it with the mule. Mail it back to your main. Repeat. Given, it smacks of manipulating the AH, but hey. It's easier than sitting in Jeuno shouting for the things.

Shame I can't do that to lower the price or at least minimize people from raising it every other sale. But so many ah bots lol. Though tbh I think that's how the item is being raised considering there are litterally dozens of sellers for an item that only a couple of lss are getting...

It's likely. Invest a bit for AH tax on the sale/resale for a bit and suddenly the price soars. That's been a tactic I learned from watching RMT bots f-ing up the market a decade ago, it never gets old. Once the sales record is only showing your results, you've already set it up for outsiders to be posting at the price you made for the item in question, unless it's REALLY outrageously shifting at once.

Mind you, it works in reverse as well, and you can also dick over the process by injecting an item for lower while they're doing it, even if it isn't much lower. Try some silly low numbers to buy anything on the AH (which is likely if they're trying to minimize their AH-posting costs) already, then post something completely out of whack with whatever they're boosting the price towards. If they're stupid, you end up with their money when your lower-cost item sells first. Buy theirs for good measure afterwards if you can. Laugh maliciously when they beg for it back and enjoy the results.*

*For best results, use a mule.**
**For extra special drama fun results, delete it afterwards.

Yeah used to do that unfortunately it isn't just random rmt this time. Heck I'm not sure it's any rmt. I know one of the few lss that sell legion synth mats just has random characters selling and usually raising the price. So hard to tell if it's them or someone else. And putting it up for low is dangerous since most the buyers look like legit crafters... well legit other than the fact they obviously ahbot several hours a day lol. So good chance I'd just be giving my crafting competition free gil. Though been thinking of making a list of them and then doing it when they offline..

Edit: yeah got a good example. A guy who according to ffxiah has 107 bonecraft kept buying befouled ingots at higher than going price to raise it from 200k to 300k in like 2 days and is now shouting he will pay 100k for a 10k item... both ingredients for the 110 bonecraft recipe.

Double edit: Now he is offering 150k for the bro fiber

Can any leathercrafters confirm if Urja Jerkin is 105 or 106? BGWiki has it 105 in the leathercraft page but 106 on the jerkin page itself. If it is 105 I'd much rather sell back all the mats I've gathered and put it toward hexed boot costs, rather than waste 48 Squam hides on something I'm going to npc...
