How is the butthurt going?
@altwight
What Silentleroy wanted to know is amount of explosion per minutes, and the average number of boobies per scene you see in the movie.
[edit]
Oh wait, I forgot he had a crush on Leonardo since The Departed. Considering the dude isnt smart, it's probably the only reason why he would be interested in a movie of completely different nature in the first place.
What Silentleroy truly wanted to know was the amount of screen time DiCaprio get, and if he was naked or not.
also for anyone that has seen it or read it
Spoiler: show
Yes, but I can hardly blame you for missing it.
Spoiler: show

I feel like the plot 'twist' was given to the viewer way too early, seemingly on purpose. The 'reveal' happens with about 20 minutes left to go in the movie and it seems to be more about the setting/characters than a trite plot element. I'm sure Scorsese was intelligent enough to not think he outsmarted everyone with a wacky, unexpected ending. To me, it felt like the plot was just the vehicle to dive into the characters' further. The last line of the movie, I thought, was the real twist and very thought provoking considering the lead-up. However, I'm a sucker for suspense movies like this. Oh yeah, and the visuals in the flashbacks/dream sequences were beautiful.
coattails etc.
Went with a group of 10 and none of us liked it much.
The work they did on the setting, costuming and history involving the period that the movie takes place was good. The cinematography was good. The acting was... okay.
It felt like they had a great team and their writer dropped out on them so they got someone shitty.
There were a lot of inconsistencies and they did a bad job of showing what was and wasn't a dream, hallucination, etc. to the point where it almost seemed ambiguous when it definitely was not supposed to be.
I laughed a lot more than I should have. I was so disappointed, everything made this movie out to look good.
Okay AFAIK this has not yet been addressed in this thread. What the FUCK was up with that CUP OF WATER? It has been driving me nuts since I saw this last week. I enjoyed the film a lot, but that one cup of water scene, and just general continuity issues in general with this movie really bothered me. I don't think they were overlooked issues, but I can't see their importance to the film either.
GRRR THAT CUP OF WATER!!!
I loved it, I love the settings and the twist at the end. Then again I am a sucker for anything that successfully tries to make you think ahead. Its a long fucking movie though, other than that I have zero complaints.
Also, ilu Kaylia.
