Mao's a playa (with an ankle fetish)
at least we get confirmation of Shion's ability, but not quite sure what his remuneration is.
what anime was that preview for, at the end of the episode?

This episode was awesome. I loved everything about it.
It was nice to finally see Mao's backstory, even if it wasnt much. Suou's part was also interesting, and I'm glad she went over it within the episode (I was about to complain when she ran away again, but was pleasantly surprised to see she didn't overeact).
The ending is a huge wtf too
I'm starting to wonder if Suou will get a power upgrade soon. It wouldn't surprise me if she can materialize any object out of her memories, but didn't realize it yet.
She probably summoned the gun because it was a recent memory and needed it, but considering she won't kill anyone at this point, her power doesn't make much sense anymore.
Taking in consideration her brother's power, and how often they talk about memories this season, it wouldn't surprise me.
I'd rather have her die and give Hei his power back in one way or the other tbh :/
I mean she's been getting interesting the past 2 episodes and all, but it can't really undo ALL my hatred toward her for being a mostly useless character on the 8 episodes before it.
Personally, I rarely notice that his power is gone, unless they make it very obvious. I don't care what happens, as long he is kicking ass. He probably wont get them back until he meet yin...which I guess could be very soon.
And meh, I enjoyed Suou's story in overall, excluding 2-3 episodes in the middle. I have hard time hating a character when I feel bad for him/her most of the time.
It's kinda noticeable on situation where the other guy isn't dead as soon as the wire goes around their neck like they usually do in s1
Unfortunately, that doesn't happen very often, which just goes to show how much of actual action actually occurs this season.
I can't really like Suou because she's basically out of her element. It's like a girl growing up love story/coming of age in the middle of everyone killing each other. And let's not even go to the mahou shoujo transformation scenes. I didn't like it the first time it pops up, and I sure as hell wouldn't like it the next five times.
Maybe the first season is far behind for you, but there is many arcs where he was barely doing anything. I don't think it's fair to say there is less action this season. Maybe the short arc format gave more closure to every fights scenes though.
I understand what you mean about Suou, and I was worried it would eventually bother me at first, but it never reached that level of annoyance. If she was constantly irrational or retarded, she would annoy me, but she make more sense than your average anime characters imo.
The transformation is fucking retarded, but I'm not blamming it on the character, I just get pissed at the writers for this one. That shit is inexcusable in DtB
Maybe so, still on all the recent fights, it's pretty obvious that Hei would've just murder his opponents far too easily if he still had his power.
The water contractor would have been a no brainer with his electricity power, and he got the sleeper psychotic killer by the neck but had to actually strangle him to kill, the fact that he was powerless against the armormaker contractor was pretty sad too.
I guess my biggest beef with Suou really boils down to the fact that she is not Yin :/
Some fight would have been different for sure. I dont think the armor guy would have issue with Hei, he could simply use the ground to shield himself against electricity. Water chick...i don't know, if she is touching Hei, maybe it wouldn't work.
Meh, it's mostly technicality. As long the fight are visually pleasing and consistent, i dont mind.
Yeah, Hei's shown he doesn't really need his power to completely fuck someone up which is why I've liked him from the beginning.
Question is, will he get his power back or will this all somehow tie into Yin and contractor killing? Either way, ominous huge moon is ominous. Can't wait for next week
IIRC, the Kirsi arc of S1 pretty much stated that since the fake sky went up, the people haven't seen the moon.
Probably Shion's doing.
2 episodes left! what's gonna happennnnnn D:
I think it's going to be something like, Hei doesn't have his power anymore, so Yin can't kill him with his own power. Or something like that. Who knows.
raaaaaage
useless episode
is it next friday already?
crap, is there going to be an episode on christmas? D:
yes. release might be delayed though dunno if people will be there due to christmas.
Don't want to read through this thread to avoid spoilers. Can anyone recommend what I should watch? A quick google search shows subbed and dubbed, what groups do I want to look for if subbed and if dubbed are they well done? Links would be awesome, thanks in advance.

I downloaded this guys batch torrent for 1-25, it looks like it's bluray but japanese voices/english subs. I watch this and then move straight to S2 the Gemini Meteor or whatever right?
