Level 50 Daevonian Armor Set... Thought the grind at 50 was over?

I honestly don't know the stats on most endgame gear; is this set supposed to be the best PvE gear in the game?

It comes close. The Dark Poeta and Elite Abyss items are better though.

Yeah this gear isn't meant to be the best in game, the abyss and Dark Poeta gear beats it, but most of these quest are really easy aslong as you have the money, the stats on them are itemized well (the boots kinda suck but at 5 set you get 22% speed anyways) and you don't have to rely on luck for the majority of it. I haven't done any instances above Draupnir Caves yet (we got no loot apart from a manastone from one boss) but i can't see the shitty drop rate of items changing all that much.
As for Abyss gear your gonna need 3 million abyss points + like 600 gold medals to get a full set of the gear, nevermind all the acessories, you get like 70 points from each pvp mob you kill at Divine fortress, thats a fuck ton of grinding, don't fool yourself btw, people at the top of the abyss ranks dont kill people for their points prime example here Aion™ Online :: Character & Legion and then you need the gold medals which could take a month for one piece of gear depending on how pvp active and on which fortress you are taking on your server or how your legion hands them out.
Don't get me wrong this gear isnt the best, but for how simple it is (just an easy grind really) i think its worth trying to get the full set. I don't think this gear will be something you get and then replace a week later either unless you luck out thats for sure. A full set of this and full abyss accessories and you are gonna be pretty solid for a while untill the RnG god favours you in Dark Poeta/Theo Reasearch Centre.
