From what I hear, Kai sucks. They cut out a lot of the filler, but they make it progress so quickly, things seem out of place and that they've even cut out parts of the manga. I watched a video review on it in youtube. I'd go w/ the dragonbox > kai

That's what I was thinking after reading about it on Wikipedia, but just wanted to double check. Being fitted for HD and no filler sounds nice, but cutting almost 200 episodes prolly ruined it. The Box set is only $48 on Amazon so I think that's a good deal anyway.

Broly movies were 100x better in Japanese. Can't compare Broly yelling CARROT in English. Anyway, will probably get this. Even after all this time I still love DBZ, and filler aren't so bad if watched back to back.

I am watching KAI atm and they are at where Goku fights Ginyu, but i havn't read the manga in a long long long time so here is my question.

In the normal Anime where Ginyu takes over goku's body temporary was it a kind of filler or not?

Because that part sucked and i hope they don't show it in KAI lol

It's trash. They cut out WAY too much. They cut out shit that was even in the manga. The flow is horrible.

The Ginyu in Goku's body part is required because that sets up the Freeza fights where it was baldy shorty and stressy vs Freeza (Forms 1 and 2) then green man vs Freeza (Forms 2 and 3) then stressy vs Freeza (final form) before getting raped and hero arrives



I quite enjoy kai, it's quite refreshing!
