Let's assume some basic things here. One, there was really a girl. Two, people did have sex with her. Three, it was in a public place.

That's all we know so far. She was admitted under critical condition (the details of which are unknown), let's say she was beaten. We dont know by whom. If we trust the more credible resource there's no indication that anyone who was actually involved with the sex acts may have actually participated in the physical abuse.


If the nineteen year old is found guilty of having sex with her he should be convicted of a Felony and imprisoned for maximum four years in a state penitentiary for statutory rape. With an additional one year for public lewdness.

Anyone under the age of 18 would be found guilty of a misdemeanor and up to one year of county jailtime. With an additional one year for public lewdness. Including the girl herself if one of the "rapists" was under 18.

I'm no lawyer, but I'm pretty sure that in America, we don't actually charge our rape victims for public lewdness if they happen to be assaulted in public. I'm also pretty sure statutory rape is not what applies here, as it implies that there is consent between both parties even though one is legally not recognized as able to give consent.
