I'm still not entirely positive that there was a beating to begin with. There was no reporting of it at all other than the pieced together story from what we have no choice but to assume is either her own drunken/unconscious account, or was pieced together from other drunken, bribed, or intimidated students.

Refer to the post above yours, not only have questions regarding whether she was beaten unconscious, beaten while unconscious, or if she was even beaten at all were raised.

If she was indeed "beaten" the media would have been jumping at the chance to list her as in "critical condition until [date] and is making a remarkable recovery and is currently in stable condition. What a trooper."
