I didn't see any thread about this, I just picked it up today and its fun as hell. The game actually has good mashups if you're in to that kinda music.

Awesome, I might go to walmart right now and pick it up.
I wanna get it.. But I ain't got the scratch..
getit?
just watched a friend play it (asshole wouldn't let me play Dit's pretty amazing, the mixes are fan-fucking-tastic and they were only the ones i got to hear...really i only scratched the surface of the music (BA DUM TISH)
but srsly, the only ones i didn't like were the grandmaster flash ones, those were stupid as hell. i'm sure if it was like the mid 90s that would have been the shit but it was mostly just shit.
I want the soundtrack, not the game.
Yarr waiting eagerly for a nice soundtrack to be released.I want the soundtrack, not the game.
I got to play it in Best Buy for a bit the other day. I actually enjoy the gameplay more than any of the guitar hero stuff. Probably will pick this one up, but not till closer to the new year.
just got it last night
didn't want to stop playing!
it's incredibly addictive and the music is amazing.
I'm planning on picking it up tonight, but as an old-school IIDX player my expectations aren't that high. Hopefully I'll be surprised.
The game is cool. I'm stuck between getting 4-5 stars on medium, and getting ass raped on hard.
I'm having a really hard time with hitting notes and cross fading at the same exact time. I'm sure things will get better once I get used to it though.
I don't like the cross fading function. The controller doesn't seem to be very well designed in that regard, it's rather difficult to get the cross fading switch into the middle position from one of the sides. Maybe it's just me, and that I suck, which I admit I kind of do when it comes to this game, but that particular function didn't feel like it worked well.
people don't want to actually do any of the hard parts of DJing, just some sweet wiki-wikiing.
Besides, a good set of real decks and the vinyl to accompany it is pretty expensive, unless you plan to wuss out and go the laptop-dj route, which (while sounding just as good if not better) isn't as nearly as awesome.
Or maybe some people just enjoy rhythm games. Shocking, I know.
So how is it difficulty-wise for those of us able to play GH/RB on Expert?
There'll obviously be the initial learning curve of the new controller/gameplay setup, but what about after that?
I would say thats its a little bit harder because you have more crap to pay attention to, like crossfade spikes, directional scratch etc. Here's a video on expert to give you a basic idea.

Checked this out at a friends house and wasnt too impressed, he liked it, just not my cup of tea, but I think its more so I dont like giving activision my money.
djs don't even really use ableton that much. and why get ableton 7 when you can get 8?!
