    Repairing a Damaged Joystick, anyone?

    <3 me some fighting games.

Anyways, I recently modded my Hori Fightstick EX2 using this.
(This Mod: http://pineconeattack.com/2008/12/07...x-360-version/) and it's been working fine for the last 2 months.

Recently in the middle of SF4, I lost a match cause I missed a Focus Attack. So next round I tried to Focus Attack and found that even though I could use both MP and MK, I couldn't Focus Attack. I reset the game and then found I couldn't Taunt, FA, or Throw but could still use all the buttons. I switched to a friend's XBox to try the stick and found I could only use Kicks.

After opening the stick up and checking the connections, I can only use LK, HK, Start, RB, and the 360 Button.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

So far Shoryuken hasn't been of ANY help to me whatsoever. For any of you hardware buffs out there that know what to do, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'd be willing to commission someone to repair it as well.

I did the same mod on my T5 stick for my PS2 (heck, even had to file out the tabs).

Well, first I would recommend looking to be sure that there's no shorts on the PCB and the wiring... but I'm pretty sure you did that already.

Try to isolate each button, wire them up to a test button and see if the wiring is indeed the problem. If that's not he problem, the PCB could very well be messed up especially since it seems like you've been using it quite a bit before it stopped working correctly. Which then I would recommend buying a wired 360 controller and using that PCB. Probably not the answer you'd want to hear but I'm not really an electronic buff, I'm just going by what I know from modding/building custom sticks.
