The heavy armors don't fit with FFXI at all, they look like they are from bloodbowl or something. The dev team is usually really anal about making everything fit into the world, these really don't fit in any way at all. Well the melee/tank ones don't anyway, I just think that very much like when they added choco racing and added lots of new armors that went with that.. this is the same. I think these are all integral parts of the football minigame thing, you wont be able to wear them in normal areas. They just don't fit at all with the ffxi world, the really heavy stuff looks like robby the robot.

Well to be fair, blood rivers don't fit in the world either but there are some in Walk of Echos. I think Walk of Echos may change how we view the ffxi world.

Could be. Putting Robel's hat on with that model it cuts off the oddly shaded parts I don't think we're meant to see.

But his eyes are purple, Robel's are yellowy.

Just like Sea looked nothing like Vanadiel, the Walk possibly opens up a whole new aspect of creativity in the world.

While in my opinion most of the headpieces look ridiculous, the idea of getting armor/weapons from an alternate timeline doesn't really break any barriers that XI hasn't already done before (sea items, augmented items being sucked into another dimension? lol)

the full tank set is going to be something with -100% movement speed, you cant move like alex but you take like no dmg!

The gear looks horribly awkward on the inactive character models, so with movement it will probably look much cleaner.

Too bad all tarus will look like porcupines given the obscene amount of spikes on some of those heavier armors.

The medium armor looks pretty neat, but those goggle masks are pretty terrible. Reminds me of the iqruia~ w/e blm mask.
