Fake or not, to hell with buying another Nintendo system to only get a bunch of shit-tastic games along with it.

False or not I rather love the bandwagon of Wii-haters jumping on a system that isn't even out let alone their games
Huh? The Wii2 could be real all day long and it isn't going to change the content or quality of its game titles, Nintendo isn't going to alienate the millions and millions of wii owners by suddenly making games that will only run on the Wii2, it will be the same old shit on a wii with a blu-ray player that upscales wii games to 1080P ala~ PS3 upscaling PS2 games.
Wow you're way off. I don't hate the Wii at all I just don't give a fuck about it one way or the other, which simply means it doesn't offer anything I find appealing at this time, could that change? sure, but isn't likely. And the proof is in the pudding, be in denial if you want the majority of Wii titles are garbage, that is why all the comments in this thread are aimed in that direction. The old saying stands fool me once, etc. That said you won't label me as a fanboy or a specific system hater, I own a PS3/360/PSP/ and a DS and could give a fuck what system a game is for as long as it's good and I enjoy it.
So we aren't talking about an upgraded Wii anymore (ie: 360 arcade > Elite) with better features, we are talking about the new next gen Nintendo system? I mean if they have to include BC for their current system and therefore start developing games for only the Wii2 that aren't compatible with the current Wii that is their next System then and not just an upgraded version of the current one? We aren't talking about the same things.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is true, considering how retardedly easy it is to pirate games on a wii now
I'm still waiting for for Nintendo's CURRENT gen system; not a GameCube with a crappy motion controller.
I'm not a "Wii-hater" at all; I bought one, hoped it would have better games than the last X years of Nintendo trash, and it didn't.
It doesn't look like they will ever have the third-party support needed to be on par with Microsoft/Sony for gamers out of their lower teen years. So like I said, screw the company's next system. To not even have some symblance of an online community is laughable at this point.
Edit - Also, its not childish of him to make those assumptions; he is basing his opinion on historical facts. Read into the past, and you can outline the future.
Im still waiting to find a reason to buy a 360 and PS3. I play my Wii and PS2 weekly, but theres nothing 360 has that interests me, and the only thing on PS3 is Disgaea 3.
Wii has New Super Mario Bros coming out and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles The Crystal Bearers coming out soon, as well as 3 good RPGs that I know of coming out earlly next year.
Why is it unbelievable the Wii2 would be the "next gen" Wii?
late 2010/early 2011...surprise...puts it at the end of the Wii's 5year life-cycle.
Why is it so common for people to act like this console generation just began? it's been 5 years. Just weird, cause I've only ever seen this phenomenon for this generation of consoles.
Blu Ray? Kinda doubt that since all of their machines use some weirdass type of media since the days of yore. That being said, they'll have the same shit under the hood? Lawl.
DENIED
if it's true, does this mean that sony gets a small cut of wii2 sold?
New Super Mario Bros Wii is probably going to be garbage. Nothing to be excited about unless you are either 5 or 50 years old. Everything known about it is pretty damning.
That said, there are a few Wii gems up and about. I am trying to find them all.
The situation is that the audience developers are aiming for have lower standards. The audience is also bigger(these two facts are not connected by coincidence.) Same could be said for the "Xboxification" of shooters or "Direct-To-Console" fighting games. Nintendo just takes it further by aiming for people who are not hobbyist in the least. Consider how low a game could go when a large portion of your audience will only play their games for maybe 10-15 hours a year and/or have not played almost any good games in their entire lifetime.
@ Mero: Exactly, but there are a bunch of companies behind Blu.
Yes, you *could* weasel your way around and install hombrew/mod it and that would allow you to play dvd. However, Nintendo kept using their weird ass media so they wouldn't have to pay royalties, have a cheaper sys, or both.
No, I mean they were both actually DVDs, licensed by the DVD board, same laser/disc etc.
In gamecube it was a size difference(they used the mini-DVD standard, you can buy them at walmart these days).
In Wii it's just a software difference, the actual discs are DVDs, the Wii simply lacks the *software* to read DVD movies, because they didn't want to pay the fees for it.
In both cases the actual media is standard DVD, i.e. they never used propietary media formats, unlike say the Dreamcast(GD-ROM), which only read CDs as a matter of engineering coincidence.
nitendos going to do this.
Sell the blu ray at 60.00 each with less then 2GIG of data on the blue ray disk. how big are the games for the WII anyways? not being HD they must not take up all that much room I would think.
