Why is it unbelievable the Wii2 would be the "next gen" Wii?

late 2010/early 2011...surprise...puts it at the end of the Wii's 5year life-cycle.

Why is it so common for people to act like this console generation just began? it's been 5 years. Just weird, cause I've only ever seen this phenomenon for this generation of consoles.

It's been 4 years for xbox... 3 for ps3/wii, next year will only be 4... I could see Q3 2011 not Q1

why would they make their next gen is the big question, as they are still selling very well.

1. Wii – 50.39 million, as of 31 March 2009 (2009 -03-31)
2. Xbox 360 – 30.20 million,as of 1 January 2009 (2009 -01-01)

I could see this happening in Q3 2010 or Q4. Of course, if the peripherals aren't backwards compatible or the games/VC aren't, then you are going to have a lot of Nintendo fans switching to Sony or MS.

I don't get the graphics boner everyone has. Wii games look fine to me. Would you really not buy a game because it doesn't look super fantastically amazing? Don't be retarded.

a good game is not made by just the graphics, you would be right. I play old games to this day that look like crap(zelda being a prime example). Still tho it adds something a "wow factor" look at UC2 the game itself was great, how it played for the most part was done great. Add to that how it looked and you have a "holy shit" moment.

edit: it adds to the game and for the most part and does not take away. It wont make up for the short comings of the story or the way it plays but add it a good game and it is just that much better. How I see it anyways.

Here's a Q&A from ONM (yeah, yeah, its the Official Nintendo Magazine) where the guy says a bit about the difficulty:

Says that he regularly plays SMB, and can fly through World, but this one was challenging at points. Guys says only Lost Levels and World 8 of SMB3 are harder in his eyes. From another preview I read, apparently the difficulty spikes at about World 4.

I wish there were more videos, but it seems Nintendo is keeping info from leaking out as they usually do. The Q&A keeps cockteasing that there's crazy shit near the end. The only thing people have glean is that you may fight Bowser Jr. while riding in a clown car ala Bowser's flying thing in SMB3.

I sorta was hoping Nintendo would go under and that we would get ports of all the good games ; ; the system to me is not worth buying for like 5 games (unless that baby game really should of been rated a 9 was it?)

Yes, you *could* weasel your way around and install hombrew/mod it and that would allow you to play dvd. However, Nintendo kept using their weird ass media so they wouldn't have to pay royalties, have a cheaper sys, or both.

B: Graphics on Wii are OK, but like you said, the games BLOW, which is the real problem here. CHeck out Call of Duty on Ps3 and then check the Wii one. If the gameplay was exactly the same (which its not, because the Wii blows) which one would you pick? Obviously, the one with the better graphics. Of course graphics matter....

C-A: How can anyone say they don't see a game worth buying a Ps3/Xbox for and then list off FF: Crystal Cronicles? You clearly are a FF fan, and you aren't interested in FF 13? Give me a break...
