    Lulz.

If Aaron Rodgers had enough pass attempts to qualify (he's 54% of the way there, he'll get enough near the end of next season) he'd be the #1 QB of all time in passer rating. He's #1 in the league this season at the moment.

So I'm looking at the Packers' schedule again. We have what should be cake wins vs. Bucs/Lions/Seahawks. That gets us to 7 wins. Need 3 more from SF/Arizona/Chicago (3 most likely) Dallas/Baltimore/Pittsburg (3 least likely). Over or under 9.5 wins - now accepting predictions. We have Tampa Bay next, then Dallas @ Lambeau. If we can win that Dallas game we'll be in good shape - they're so Jekyll and Hyde I don't know what to expect.

I lurvz meh some Rodgers, but until at least 1 other person on the team figures out how the fuck to play, it doesn't matter how many games the Pack wins because they're not going to accomplish anything.

    T.O: REC 23 YDS 281 AVG 12.2 TDS 1
Roy Williams: REC 14 YDS 249 AVG 17.8 TDS 2

I want to see some dick media guy incite some rage by asking T.O if he still considers himself winning.

Are there pretty clearly defined superbowl contenders now? Looks like there are 2-3 teams in each conference that are really playing well, 3-4 teams that could pull an Arizona from last year and the rest are either hoping to just make a postseason appearance or just make it through the year.

    AFC contenders:
    Indy
    NE
    Denver

    In the mix:
Cincy (I'm tempted to put them in the other group but I keep waiting for all the headcases on the team to screw things up)
    Pittsburgh
    Baltimore

Could make the playoffs but probably won't get into the AFC title game:
    Jets
    Houston
    San Diego

    NFC Contenders:
    Minnesota
    New Orleans

    In the mix:
    Philly
    Dallas
    Atlanta

Could make the playoffs but won't do much:
San Francisco (NFC west is basically up for grabs, looking at SF's schedule, 9 wins is not out of the question and they could sweep their conference- already 3-0)
    Arizona
    Green Bay
Chicago (I doubt that either will beat out an NFC East team and Atlanta for the 2 wildcard spots but you never know)

I'd love to see an Indy/New Orleans superbowl- I think that would be an interesting game.

Also--- just saw the highlight again where Harvin caught the pass from Favre and 3 GB defenders collided and fell down. There is a moment where Harvin turns around and pauses- I think he's expecting to get hit and then realizes they are all on the ground. As soon as he caught it, before he even turned around I said "touchdown" because there was no way any of those guys were going to catch him. Talk about a gift of a TD. Fucking keystone cops there.

It's amazing. I think it's been said a few times, but Harvin is definitely what people thought Reggie Bush would be. People thought he'd do kickoffs, punts, outta the backfield, in the slot, etc.. and Bush isn't that good in any of those, while Harvin's like "I have a shoulder problem and illness.. yet I still rape. wat."

So yeah, I'm loving me some Harvin even if I chose not to start him today (stupid).

    dude is F-A-S-T.

If you play D against him and allow him to get behind coverage then you deserve what you get. Same thing goes for Jackson on Philly. 2 weeks in a row he's caught basically the same 40 yard deep fade for a TD. NICE JOB WATCHING TAPE GUYZ!!!

I'm looking at the 'could make the playoffs' as more of a longshot-to-get-in category, so considering that I'd say its reasonably accurate.

I'd switch the Pats and Baltimore though.

I figured it out though. Delhomme and Warner agreed to dress up as each other in Halloween spirit.

I think NE will get better as the season goes on and Brady gets better. Baltimore is one of those teams that could go on a 3 game run and do very well and just as easily go on a 3 game run and do poorly. The D played very well yesterday but on the whole this year they have been getting abused by big plays. Thats why I put them in the 2nd tier.

I look forward to next year more than anything in hopes that my Niners will continue to improve. I like the direction they are headed in.

I think of Baltimore as another team who is not as good as they seemed to be. Every year, there will be a few surprise teams that jump out early and look good, then fade as the season progresses. This year, I think it's probably San Fran, NYJ, Baltimore. I think their first four games aren't indicative of what they really are. San Fran would be the only team I think could make the playoffs in that bunch. Maybe it's just me still not being a believer, but I can see Denver finishing their last nine at 4-5, possibly 5-4.

In the AFC, I like, in order, Indi, NE, Pitt
In the NFC, I like, in order, Minnesota, New Orleans, and noone else really...

So much knee circle jerking going around in this thread, dear lord.

Don't let the highlight reels fool you. The vikes are the best team in the league because of their stellar front 4.(which is the best front 4 in the league by far right now)

If Favre isn't throwing bombs to Harvin, he's throwing them to Sidney Rice/Berrian/your uncle bill if he can get down field fast enough. I like Harvin, but if you can run in a straight line, you're good to go as far as Brett is concerned. Expect percy to disappear from the passing game as soon as Brett re-retires.

Also love the fail playoff predictions.... Dallas is a contender because they can beat the Seahawks at home? .... lovely.

And are people really that high on Denver and Houston? Has either team won any big game yet? Give me a break.

Protip: Superbowls aren't won in week 8. The Giants and Panthers were undefeated at this time last year, and were bounced out of the playoffs from the word go.
