I finally bought some non-fantasy books from Amazon. Picked up some random books on waves and surfing "The Big Juice" and "The Wave"

I've also been dabbling more in finance books. There are a few on bond/CDS structuring and some others on mixed market economy and some Friedman-esque stuff.

The first book was really hard for me to get into. But damned if the second book isn't one of my favorites.

I finished Jacqueline Kennedy: History Conversations on Life with JFK and is great. Everything felt really essential. I feel like I now know JFK better than I know some of my friends.

I got about a third of the way through the first book and put it down, I might go back to it eventually, but I was having a really hard time getting into it. I just started my first trip through the WoT books though, so this should keep me occupied for a while.

The worst feeling in the world is a half-finished book. My OCD eats at my sanity when I haven't finished a book without a set date to pick it back up.

I tore through the first two books in the Millenium trilogy. I'm about a fifth of the way through The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest and just can't get enough!

I just finished the The Hobbit and suddenly my nerdy childhood friend seems still a nerd but at least I get it. This is one of my favorite books of all time. I can't wait to finish reading Lord of the Rings. I'm about halfway through Fellowship of the Ring! :D

Now I sit and wait for the movie.

Also read Rich Dad Poor Dad. Is good. I think I read it when I was 12 but the concepts had no context. It's much better with some experience living in the outside world.

    Finished The Gathering Storm.
Just one more book then I have to wait 4 months for the next book after reading the first 13 in just little over two months.
Though I suppose I'll read New Spring after Towers of Midnight.

I actually read New Spring first before the rest of the series. I liked it a lot; gives you some great background / perspective on Moiraine and Siuan. I can't wait for the last book.

In other news, I am on the second book of the Sword of Truth series. It's good, but it is really, really similar to WoT thus far. The first episode of the british TV series was pretty decent though as well.

Finished the Millenium trilogy! Holy shit I couldn't put it down last night!

Was going to move on to the Hunger Games series next unless anyone has a recommendation of what I'd like more.

Started the Mistborn Trilogy and of course I'm loving it so far. Just preparing myself for the eventual slow parts.

Unless you have a vagina, don't bother reading the 2nd and 3rd book to that series.

Eh, I think it's worth a read, even though it could have been a LOT better had it been more SCI-FI and less teen romance.
