I just started Dune for the first time, holy shit am I entertained by this book. The scene with the Reverend Mother in the beginning was soo intense. Love it.

I'm proofreading and editing something at the moment but I'm also reading the Forerunner Saga from the Halo series. It's kinda cheese but I'm enjoying it.
Malazan got boring as fuck for me after a bit.
I also started reading the wrong shit first.
People liked Under the Dome? Ugh. I''ll admit the way King writes about a town or country going to hell makes for an enjoyable read. He's had enough practice at it. I felt the resolution was fucking retarded for this book and ruined the whole experience.
So just finished IT
Holy fuck at that teenage gangbang scene. That was out of left field lmao
yeah... I remember reading it and being like wtf seriously?
No interest in King books anymore. I had read pretty much all of his works except Gunslinger over the years, and read those a few months ago. Last few books in that series where he makes himself a character was just terrible.
I remember that scene from IT though, I think he got quite a bit of criticism for it.
Yeah I completely lost momentum on the DT series once he got to that point. It's funny how his accident both saved and killed that series at the same time.
Finished. Elantris
Loved it. Becoming a real fan of Sanderson.
Mistborn any good?
Mistborn is GREAT! Read them and you won't be disappointed. I like pretty much everything that Brandon Sanderson has written.
What I've read since last checking this thread and would recommend,
The Way of Kings - Brandon Sanderson
Elantris - Brandon Sanderson
Ender's Game - Orson scott card
Ender's Shadow -Orson scott card
Finished the first three books of the Demon Cycle series. Not reading anymore series that aren't finished. Book #3 ended up a huge cliffhanger and it's killing me. Really loving it thus far though.
Mistborn is pretty good; would recommend.
I've begun my summer beach reading cycle. All mass-produced spy novels and intrigue stuff.
The English Girl - Daniel Silva
The Hit - David Baldacci
Various older books from both dudes.
Just finished Escape From Camp 14. Wow. Heavy but an amazing read.
It's funny someone brought up Sanderson again - I just finished "Warbreaker" and it's very typical Sanderson-style writing. Lots of great narrative and perspective with a very unique magic universe. I will admit that a lot of the plot seemed predictable -but at the time I did not and would not believe my thoughts would come to fruition. I will not speak any more about this subject but he really knows how to attach you to characters.
Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman. So far I quite like it. Doing it audiobook style and as it is narrated by Gaiman himself, I think it is that much better because of it.
