i tried reading that and catch 22 when i was in high school. hated them and didnt finish. im planning to try again soon, now that i'm older and wiser.

one i DID enjoy, and fits in a similar category, I think, is One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Reading The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb. Didn't think I would enjoy it, but it's been great thus far. Reads like a more PG version of the Gentlemen Bastard sequence crossed with Riyria Chronicles or another more altruistic fantasy yarn.

All of Vonnegut's novels are worth the read. My personal favorites are: Breakfast of Champions, and Cat's Cradle. Also really enjoyed Galapogos despite reading it for HS summer reading lol. Sirens of Titan is really good too, a bit more sci-fi than his later stuff.

If this is the Assassin's series, I enjoy it alot. There is a sequel series, called the Fool series, and in September, the 3rd trilogy's first book comes out.

I could have bought an 11 pull and have 1000 gems left over, but all I got was this silly title.

    Since my last post...

Finished Divergent Trilogy. First book was pretty good. 2nd book was ok. 3rd just got stupid and I guess I was ok with the way it ended. But ugh I trudged through the 3rd one swiftly just to be a completionist. Hated the movie. Too watered down and should have been more violent.

Also got 2 more books through Dresden (waiting a bit to buy books 4-6) and Elantris. I enjoyed the pacing of the first 2/3rds of the Elantris and its characters. Kinda flew off the rails as it tried to tie up everything really fast that it got a bit ridiculous, but still a nice read. Fit in Ender's Game into all this as well. Probably not going to read any further in the series on the recommendation of my friends.

Now in queue: Words of Radiance, In the Name of the Wind, Warbreaker, The Wise Man's Fear, then Dresden 4-6.

Finished Warbreaker. I should have taken my friend's advice and read that before Words of Radiance. Though it made for a good "oh snap" moment when I connected the dots between the two.

I guess future advice for people reading Stormlight Archive series: read his other books since most of them are in the same literary universe but different worlds (except for Rithmatist and Reckoners so far)

I don't think this is spoilery at all but if you haven't read Way of Kings there's some stuff in here -

    Spoiler: show
As far as I know Hoid is featured in all the novels thus far, and I can't find a link but supposedly he has some power over Shadesmar that lets him travel between worlds. I'm really excited to see how this connected world comes together through Stormlight

Sanderson & Way of Kings, and Hoid spoilers:

    Spoiler: show

There are a bunch of world hoppers in Roshar. The Seventeenth Shard is searching for Hoid; Galladon from Elantris, Demoux from Mistborn, and a third from an unpublished novel. Why they are, it's still unknown.

There's another worldhopper who has a minor role in Words of Radiance.

A bunch of this info is consolidated in a spoilerific wiki at coppermind.net. The epigraphs from part 2 of Way of Kings and part 4 in Words of Radiance is speculated to be from Hoid in WoK and a response in WoR.

Hoid has Breath from Warbreaker, has possession of Lesarium from the Well of Ascension that can make someone into a mistborn, and a handful of unconfirmed abilities including worldhopping.
