    Most Americans know our land is founded upon a genocide, but we still happily celebrate Thanksgiving because it's fun to gorge ourselves on food. We simply dont care about the original creation of the tradition, only that we find the tradition fun enough to pass on year after year.

    Well, that's the thing. White people don't particularly feel the need to understand their culture, because their culture tends to be a commodity. And as with all cultural phenomena turn commodity, they lose their meaning.
