Maybe I'm totally off the mark here, but those seem better than Rutter Sabatons, if only in extremely marginal ways. How are they a poor/lazy SAM's item if they're at least as good as the pre-existing best option?

Ok they are good if you don't have Rutters. I would almost bet that getting those from the ANNM with those stats would be harder than getting Rutters though. The Dex and SB is pretty useless for SAM wses, but I suppose it is still a positive. They aren't groundbreaking is all I was trying to say.

can't post pics, but just got an erlking's gaxe with +6 dmg and 3str. not the best possible, but pretty awesome.
