In my opinion it's one of the reasons FFXI is still doing decently. People get attached to characters they're used to seeing, etc.

I think XIV's catastrophic failure (and in my opinion, a reputation that cannot be salvaged no matter what they fix) has really scared EME into taking their time. After that fiasco and the huge revenue losses SE had I really don't blame them. Regardless, from what I've seen/read, I think the game would still be great even if they released it now.

I can't agree with this more.

The original speculated release date was September. If it's not then, it will be a month or two away, as EME has repeatedly said(even recently) that the game will come out at the end of the year, and they will not make any promises they can't keep. They want to show us a polished, playable, enjoyable game, as opposed to just getting it out there before the other games, just to attract the guy who can only afford the first game that comes out.

This doesn't bother me, as I'm never killing my K-TERA sub, but I would imagine that with all the bullshit going on, with these half-assed, incomplete games being released/shown, people would prefer to wait. Our recent hype's been fun, and people want this shit yesterday, but I can personally guarantee you this is going to be worth every last minute you've waited.

I think he is asking about :41 in the video. While I havent seen every armor render available, that DOES seem edited to me.

However, as Foxer said, EME has gone on record, repeatedly I might add, that nothing is being altered other than some Elin outfits- and those are simple additions of some sort of tights.

Next test phase I will look mighty hard to see if there is any other altercations in outfits not previously stated- but I would be very surprised (and saddened). However, most of the Tera community who's been following this game for a while (on official forums, fan forum etc) would rage so fucking hard we'd all know about it. The thread about Elin alterations alone are crazy.

EDIT: here is a screencap from last CPE of an alt my friend had. Rather 'clothed' in comparison to others, EME probably just chose a 'safer' outfit for the trailer.

That second picture makes me ask, if there falling damage in TERA if you were to jump? The areas in this game seem so pretty. But I was one of those fags who used to sit around in Lufaise Meadows near the waterfall when I would pass through, lol.

Yes there is falling dmg. You can't die from it though, most hp you can lose is all but 1

There's falling damage but I've never seen anyone die because of it. I jumped off a massive ass cliff in the noobie zone and it brought me close to death, but didn't kill me.

Nice. I think years of FFXI has made me jump happy, I jumped off of EVERYTHING when I played WoW for a bit, so. I can see myself jumping off every building in TERA to get around, lol..

I cant die from falls. You do take dmg tho, if it's a big ass fall you land with 1 hp.
