skyrim will be better
Playa, you got no idear. There are situations where you want the close quarter DPS that wears higher defense gear, but there's also the opposite, a la FFXI.
It's out now and people prefer it over KB and mouse. I prefer my KB for classes like Priest and Sorc, but I wouldn't oppose to playing a class like Lancer or DPSs, since they sit at around 10-15 skills. My Priest's pushing about 30.
Edit: Mad hours. MAD HOURS.
The game works extremely well with keyboard or controller. That being said, it feels unlike any game you have played with a keyboard, but amazingly it becomes 2nd nature after only an hour or so.
Btw - I would slap the living shit out of myself if I ever reported people on a forum/bbs. Just sayin', ya know.
trying to grasp how controller would work in this setting, you bind abilities to buttons or can scroll through them somehow? i'm guessing the latter.
Yeah, it comes down to getting trolled, bashed, or reported/banned. Every thread in BG seems to get a bit worked up over the opposite opinion, you know?
Bind to what you want.

foxer check your PM
it's different now since they actually added their own support, some binds are set for xbox 360 though, you can't change start/select and LB/RB are essentially your CTRL/ALT macro sets(like in FFXI) you can also turn on/off the controller UI on screen in game too, also with the new support there's MORE than enough binds for your entire skill bars, plus you can do LB+RB to bring up a 3rd macro set
I prefer controller over KB, but the only thing I can see KB being better for, would be aiming cures, coz I think KB is faster/more accurate for that
I do it fine with controller though
y u a;ways gott ab right
Hmm. It was an inside joke!
BTW, we all just got a free appearance change coupon after last nights maintenance. Maybe they'll be generous enough to throw a free one here and there in the NA version.
^ I can see that being a reward for a "6 month" player bonus or something
is the political system in game in K-TERA now, or is that coming with a later update?
Everything except cross server rifting/fort raiding, 4th continent, flying mounts and random misc is out already. They'll expand on everything as they go but all the basics are out already.
Ahhhhhhhhh you got me!
Looks like TERA got a ton of awards over a E3 last week.

My enthusiasm for TERA's outstanding group-oriented action-packed combat had been tempered by a healthy skepticism about the developers' vague promises about a player-driven political system until this year's E3. A hands-on session with four other players against a high-level boss and details about the game's unusual politics – which sound like a clever balance between Eve Online's free-for-all galactic intrigue and a theme park ride MMO like World of Warcraft— have this at the top of my MMO list.

Do you want an MMO that does what World of Warcraft does, only without the benefit of an effectively unlimited budget and six-plus years of refinement, or do you want to play a game that offers something new? Personally I'm going for the "something new" choice, since I can always re-up my WoW account. TERA's player-driven politics and action-oriented combat are different enough to make me take notice, especially given how good the game looks and how well it played at this year's E3.

Our winner for best MMO at E3 2011 goes to Tera Online. While it was a tough field, we felt Tera stood out from the crowd with their impressive videos, graphics and action based combat. The combat system is what really won us over and looks to be a game changer for the MMO genre. We’re excited to see more and can’t wait for this one to go live.

MMO are moving closer into the action combat zone with their play styles. The first game to really bring this to the next level is TERA. The game play and combat move incredibly fast for an MMO and players will enjoy the quick combat in the game. With a UI that allows for some combinations and dodges, MMO combat will not be the same once this game hits the market. TERA continues to impress by having some of the best demos at game shows. If you are at a show with a TERA booth, definitely take the guided tour, you won’t be disappointed. TERA has all the features of a major MMO, but it is the combat in this game that really shines. We look forward to more as the game continues to grow and launch in the Western market. Fast paced fights and monster boss battles, TERA wins our best combat award for E3 2011.

If you’re willing to lay down your Warglaives and look past your Lightsaber induced obsession, you may find that TERA packs the cure for your MMO woes. TERA is colorful enough to keep your eyeballs at full attention, and innovative enough to warrant this glowing mention. Heck, after playing it a few times at E3 2011, we named it Best MMO, and I’m here to tell you why.
Publisher En Masse Entertainment is doing its best to concisely sum up and promote the game, as our walkthrough crew tossed out phrases like “money, power, and fame” and “all action, no faction” during our demo session. What are these catch phases eluding to? Well, for starters, TERA does not segment its player-base into factions. This is bad news if you are looking to add a new “FOR THE <INSERT FACTION NAME HERE>” T-Shirt to your geeked-out collection. However, on a positive note, this does open the world up to the player base. As for the other buzz words — you’re going to have to read on my friend.
