The only reason to check out the official forums is to see if any sort of testing schedule date or release date has been announced. Even then, TeraFans will have the same news within a short time anyway.

Still, the fact that J-Tera is coming out on schedule with what BHS more or less wanted, I am rather hopeful that they'll keep EME on their schedule and we'll see the game as planned in 3-4 months.

A. We haven't announced a launch date on purpose. The reason for that is we want the game to be ready when we launch it. We've seen a lot of games in multiple industries fail because they didn't have the content running, they didn't have the game polished. So our first and foremost goal is making sure the game is ready. To circle back around, we won't have an official CBT and OBT schedule until we announce our launch date. We'll announce our launch and then our beta schedule.

Makes me think their actual release date is closer than expected. Or at the very least what we have been speculating as of late.

poor decision. Now if they run into unexpected problems during beta, they'll have to launch with them. Also eliminates any chance of them actually collecting feedback about the gameplay and trying to adjust it for regional preference as they claimed they would. K-TERA is gonna be NA-TERA. I still don't know if thats a good thing.

What this means is that they want to launch a beta that won't have unexpected problems, i.e. extensively in-house tested before. Plus, it will be similar to Aion in that it will be mostly checking out the localization. Also, it doesn't eliminate anything. Just because they will have a release date doesn't mean they can't change the game too much after beta.

Right. Remember, this is not a beta showcasing a new game. This is a beta from a game that has already been out for 6 months, not to mention 2 years of real beta testing in Korea.

Although I agree that a beta is the absolute best way to advertise a game, I feel that they're getting close to that release date, so what they want is to put out a polished beta, that will just last last a few days, a la J-TERA.

My thoughts exactly. EME could still announce beta sometime in early Aug that would start late Aug or something and put the release date in Sept, or even announce beta in Aug that starts in Sept with a late Sept or early Oct release. I mean J-Tera closed beta was announced early June and now at the end of June we have a release date of late July. A one or two month turn around seems very likely imo.

I volunteered to help in any way, but I would assume Foxer would be leader since he knows the most currently. It would be nice if someone could get a unique site made.

I played in the FGT2 as well as the CPE, my knowledge of the game isn't great but it is good. I am willing to help out in whatever way possible as well.

Inventory quest was gather 1.5 zillion materials across Arborea. Took random screenie while doing so in Halloween place.

I'll take g lead, only if I got a crew helping me out. Tired of being the one dude everyone whispers to like in K-TERA. We can set up a chat/vent/subforum whenever you want to get shit going. Seriously the only reason people post on the official forums is they think EME is going to blow them and give them a beta key. After the community play event and basically saying, "we gave this to our dedicated members blah blah", people post on the forums only for that. Otherwise, its a shitstorm of bullshit you have to weed through.
