Is warrior only a tank class or is it viable as a DPS? I typically gravitate toward dual weilding DDs (SINs, Rogues, THFs, etc) and it looks like warrior is the only class remotely close to what I typically like to play.

Welt, i'm sticking to ranger, i'm not too 100% sure about them in endgame, but rangers were sure as hell fun when i was in the k-tera beta. I'm all for the dps.
Of course they do. They don't have a role when it comes to CCing though. You can use it on your own, like every Archer does, but it's not even close to needed like a mages' sleep or bind for instance. It's more like Acid bolts and all that jazz. You get slow shots, poison shots, stun/slow traps, etc.
Have I ever asked an Archer to ever use anything outside of Stun trap on Golden Lab bosses? Nope!
Foxer, may I ask what do you think of slayers? I might roll one but have some doubts about their survivability endgame, especially against bosses.
Undecided between slayer and archer.
Play Slayer for a month, glyph anything that gives you attack speed bonuses and try for multiple attack speed in weapons/necklace, and you're in love. Guaranteed.
Slayer is actually too good. It's like all the faggots that tried their hardest to convince others SAMs weren't too good in FFXI. That's where I rate Slayers in TERA. SAM = Slayer.
Warrior is also a viable DPS, yes. If you're asking if they can hang with Berks and Sorcs, you're asking for too much. Can you out-parse medium tier DPS classes? Definitely.
Think I may be going Ranger ^^; They look so sweet, but so do Sorcs .-.; At least I have time to make a decision.
Um, got it.
May I ask you another question regarding loot? How are armor set are mainly attainable – AH, bosses drops, etc.?
Ugh >_<! I don't know what I want to be my first main. I plan on having 2 mains, not one main and many alts.
So Foxer, what do you believe we will need the most because that will be my first main. If my first main is a support class (lancer, warrior, mystic, priest) then my second will be DPS fo sho.
While we're on a question bonanza what do you guys feel is the best class(es) in the game for solo and low-man content? Also does Mystic take on more of a RDM role where the buff and heal or more BRD where it's purely buffs?
My main will be a healer, I haven't decided which since I know basically nothing about either
Cichy, you and I can be Ranger pals. Katlan you can cure me. Foxer you can feed me $.
Guild solved.
Right now both mystic and priests can cure and buff. Dungeons I've ran always consisted of tank+3 dds+ mystic or priest, both of them can cure the entire group effectively so taking both just seems like a waste of dd spot which makes you run the dungeon longer. Also, from what I've seen out of the two Mystic is the better DD if it comes to it than Priest.
Great thing about Mystics was that before you engage the boss they can crap out bunch of those light balls that either regen your HP or MP without them pulling hate.
As far as solo goes Warrior is pretty beast if you're good at it, I soloed the blue BAMs on Ranger in about 12 minutes while a good warrior same level could do it in 5-6. From my experience archer, sorcerer, warriors are the best soloers.
I forget who pointed me to this site, but for those of you curious as to differences between Priest/Mystic, visit here and check out the diff skill trees:

You can see that both classes mirror a lot of similar abilities and like a lot of people are saying, I think Mystic is edging out over Priest slightly in terms of overall "better" but nothing super drastic.
Also, as far as DDs go, I personally enjoyed the overall gameplay of Slayer moreso than I did Berserker.
obviously, I will be ranger as well
me and arrows are bffs
