Was luciferia also in ffxi? Name is familiar.
It's exactly who you think it is. Typical female gamer, horrible at the game, loves to remind people she has a vagina, and considers herself a hardcore PvPer when she's absolutely horrible (I too, had the ... misfortune of playing with her in Aion.)
Anyway. I'm not exactly sure how the "skill ratings" of these classes work. At first I really thought that the "skill ratings" of some of the classes are very dependent on their "squishiness", but ranger is so squishy and it's only two star. I guess it has to do with skills and such, because the class is stupidly easy to play from what I've been told, as long as you avoid being hit.(What I've been told, playing Archer up until 30 at least is about spamming your charge shot, and your poison arrow when you get it).
I'm really interested in these glyphs I've been hearing about lately, but haven't been able to find a site with details about them that can be decently translated by Chrome or anything. It seems that you can customize yourself quite well by changing how your abilities work, like being able to charge some skills as Slayer/Berserker while moving, lower cooldowns and charge times, etc.
Now i'm not sure if it's her. It sounds like her, but she was on fenrir. Maybe all girl gamers whose names start with luci are total sluts for attention.
Do you mean this?

The article has several pages.
Not those, talking about these.

The little icons next to the skills, apparently change the effect of the skills from what I'm told.
Yeah that's what I'm after, anything you can do will be great. (Do Mystic please :D )
I've got a minute, so I'll give you one or two.
정령탄 I - Probably will be translated Soul Fire or something, but I like that it could be translated as Soul Coal. (skill that defaults to left click when you make a new Mystic.)
스킬 위력 25% 증가 - Skill power increased 25%
징벌의 장막 I - Curtain of Punishment (level 2 skill)
스킬 위력 25% 증가 - Skill power increased 25%
정령 소환 : 수호의 정령 I - Summon Spirit: Spirit of Protection (level 4 skill)
재사용 시간 10% 감소 - Recast time reduced 10%
대지의 분노 I - Wrath of the Earth (lvl6)
재사용 시간 20% 감소 - Recast time reduced 20%
연계 스킬 로 징벌의 장막 사용 시 소모 MP 41 감소 - Linking this skill with Curtain of Punishment reduces MP cost by 41. (I haven't played a Mystic past lvl5, but I'm assuming this is one of those MASH ON SPACEBAR NAO! skills)
순간 이동 I - Instant Change/Moment Shift/Why do so many Korean words have 47 meanings? I'm looking at you 쓰다... (lvl8)
25% 확률로 재사용 시간 초기화 - 25% chance of reducing cast time by 1sec.
기상 공격 I - Rising Attack/Weather Attack perhaps... I should really look at these animations sometime lol (lvl12)
스킬 위력 25% 증가 - Skill power increased 25%
재사용 시간 20% 감소 - Recast time reduced 20%
고통의 주박 I - Curse of Pain (lvl14)
효과 지속 시간 20% 향상 - Duration increased by 20%
연계 스킬로 고통의 주박 사용 시 소모 MP 33 감소 - Linking this skill with Curse of Pain reduces MP cost by 33 (Is this a typo on the site's part? Can you really link this with itself?)
The rest are fairly simple, you can probably figure out what the crests do based on what I've done here. If there are any other Mystic skills that you specifically want to know about, just let me know.
Curse of Pain is a dot that can stack on a target 3 times, so I'm guessing if you chain it back to back it gets cheaper, which is pretty cool.
Thanks for that though, very interesting what some of this stuff does :3
Thanks again for the excellent response Fenux.
Well, I haven't seen this mentioned in the thread yet (at least not in detail) and when I read it, it blew my mind so I thought others would be interested too. This game just keeps looking better and better.
From http://www.tera-europe.com/en/articl...hancement.html
It reminded me of that decade old game, Vagrant Story, which I used to love.Ever come across two items that you wish you could wear at the same time? TERA makes that wish come true. With the enchantment feature, you can combine gear and other materials into something that you truly want. You are not limited by rarity, or even class specific gear. If you want that extra knockdown from the Berserker axe you have in your bag but are an Archer, you can have it. With TERA, your imagination is the only limit.
As well as an increase in your usual stats, you will see stacked bonuses the more often you enchant your equipment. You will see that active enchantments are written in green, whereas the grey ones are those that activate once you hit the appropriate enchantment level.
Yes, yes. That's an awesome find. I was trying to explain this when someone asked what the dif. is when grinding in this game versus others, and how you will benefit from anything in between level 1 and level cap. This is what I meant when I said you will be more rewarded than typical MMOs where you just wanna rush to level cap. There is always something you want from an item and wish it was in an other item, ike 'woah imagine my amano with def down and acc down'. Which is important in mid levels because remember what I said about WBs not dropping for you if you're too high level. It's just another way of making the player want to play the game while in mid-game.
Good find, TY

lol, I read the headline and I was like.. oh we'll know more about what EME is changing during the westernization. Then I read the article and the only thing there is another generic PR comment repeating the same thing they've said before.
Yea, very nicely said. But WHAT are they changing then? Reading this it seems like they're not quite sure yet themselves...Some people hear the word "westernization" and think, "ohhhh...you mean translation." Others think it's just a matter of eliminating any sentence that begins with "All your base..." To truly westernize, though, we have to go deeper than that. Yes, there are times when funny translation mishaps drive us to change things, but as we westernize TERA, we're looking at the game as a whole and distinguishing what type of gameplay our players want and what kind of story will pull them in. Working with the development team, our bottom-line goal is to make sure that when you sit down to play, you feel that TERA was made for you.
The problem I see is that Korean devs are developing the game towards one direction, while EME is developing the game towards a different direction.
That can't end well, if they won't separate the development completely at some point. I'd rather not see any sort of Westernization at all tbh, as that will most likely mean even larger gap between the Korean and Western updates.
How about some real customer service for a change, like simultaneous updates? I'd take it over this really.
While I can understand the translation aspect of "westernization" taking some time, particularly if certain cultural references or idioms need to be reworked, the numbers game of it all really shouldn't be that difficult. I'd liken it to playing a regular game on Normal and Hard difficulties. The latter just being mobs hit harder, have more HP, may be more reactive or use different moves, etc.. Depending on how generic they get, Westernization could just be cutting 10% off every number that goes against the player in terms of exp/cash grind or enemies.
Sadly, you'll still get people who will whine about the game being too easy, pandering to carebears, etc.. The vocal minority will never be pleased while the silent majority either won't know how to speak up, can't articulate well enough, or are afraid of the trolls.
Still, if you cut 10% off every number that can have some not so beneficial long-term consequences.
I mean if the grind is calculated to last until more (one kind) content is implemented, taking 10% off that value will make us run out of shit to do 10% faster. I doubt the company behind the game would make us grind more than what is necessary, nor that Koreans somehow think of grind as a good thing to have in the game just for the sake of it.
More than that, if the Korean version's future is PvP centric (in the traditional Korean fashion) while the Western version is more PvE centric that will be the determining factor imo. The rest can be dealt with rather easily.
