Do the speeds of the classes make a lot of difference? I see warriors are 120 whereas all others are 110 and 105. On paper, that doesn't seem like much of a difference (especially 110 leather vs 105 plate). Do mobs largely have a "base speed," kinda like in FFXI, where any amount over the base speed makes you disproportionately stronger?

Yeah, not all mobs run 100%. All mobs set randomly, according to size on something like 100/108/112/125% speed, just like in XI. Remember that in this game, you can't just take a mob 4 miles that way -> and get it stuck on a wall or around a fence. Firstly, cuz mobs jump, secondly, all BAMs so far rage randomly throughout the fights, removing their warning pre-attacks and making them faster. Also, you lose hate by simply kiting the mob too far out of it's original camp.

As it did for me, and it seems they have paid notice to that, therefore OWPVP is through the PK flagging system with small penalty given to people ganking lower levels for fun. They mentioned specifically that they do not want people EXPing, and a single guy flies over you and one-shots/traps, or ganks you.

Oh, they already mentioned racial traits are making it to the western release and are working towards what NAs will consider imba. Knoxx or BroMag said it on official forums.

They need to make the in-game character customization a download or embedded APP on a website.....would entertain me for a day at least.

There will be a point where you can't gank lower levels, if that's all you do.

No body sliders, sadly. The one major thing that gets to me.. In it's defense, every character has a hit box, exclusive to them, so I see how drastic customizations are excluded. I also hated 11 foot people in Aion so it's not too bad for me, personally.

Faces are pretty much fully customizable with a range of around 35 points per slider, around 20-30 customizations for face per race. Elin and Popri having the least. Eye color, make up, hair/horns/ facial hair, etc all there.

There has been a lot of desire to have some sort of pre-release char creator, but its there has been no positive official feedback on it. If you have time to kill, visit rendermax's page (vids above are from him) he does quality capture work and has (among many things) all the race/gender face custom stuff (I dont think he goes into the actual slider part, but thats understandable) http://www.youtube.com/user/rendermax

Yeah, at first I was a bit put off by them completely changing Elin when you have two of the other female races running around in thongs, oscillating breasts in full plate armor with pelvic creases and ass cracks clearly visible, but after playing KOBT I think I know which exactly couple of Elin outfits they are going to change. There's plenty of cloth armor for all the races that are essentially dresses with panties, they are probably going to change the Elin ones that show off underwear with your character idle. I still don't understand it 100%, because the way Castanics run and High Elves cast spells, you can see their underwear 100% of the time anyway, but we'll see. They're supposedly only changing a "couple" of the armors, so yeah.

Also when I think of tights in the way they are thinking of changing things, I'm thinking more of shorts, than actually full leg tights. Hopefully they show some info soon though, I know there's alot of angry Elin players out there atm lol.

What's hard to get about it? Do you see a pre-teen lingerie market? Ever watch Chris Hansen bust a pedo? The other races at least "get away with it" because you simply can't look at them and say they're child-like. If you think the media blitz on GTA for beating up hookers was bad, "enabling child pornography" even if all you get are panty shots wouldn't be the best of PR. And eventually we'd go some Law and Order SVU episode where a crime is committed because they saw it in a video game, and to pun, they call it ERTA or something.

Elin look younger than they are. They're not pre-teen or even teenagers according to lore. Also, I believe I speak for the entire planet when I say I would rather stare a hot young ass than bang a hooker, only to run over her and kill in the end. I understand where you're coming from, since you're clearly mentioning the PR on this side of the planet and all, but all this is for the PEGI/ESRB only. Nothing else. Shit, maybe even PEGI alone, but we're getting the same client.

In the end, it's all fine and dandy knowing more of the people are going to molest themselves to the other 3 races over the Elin race anyway, and if not, there's file that can be edited. Not a problem.

That's pretty much how the majority, if not everyone feels. Some people just scared to admit it like that. I honestly don't care what people say about races in a game. I'm bound to play whatever has the most eye candy regardless.
