Huh? No the invites were sent that allow fansites to invite people. The email for the Americans through EME is yet to come. By invites, they meant they gave fansite admins permission to allow a certain amount of people to win a chance.

Get that google translate out. How is good still a misspelled word on spell check in 2011? : (
Official forums are trash yeah. My first account there was around 2 years ago and no newsletters. I made another account there maybe half a year ago and only seen the Dec newsletter. Site's outdated. You can get more info from other sources. Or you can get 140 pages worth of troll shit condensed into a few sentences from other sources as well. Good thing they promised to launch the new site before beta. No PMs are pretty bad.
Late reply, and you might have figured it out from the video I posted but yeah, there are OW bosses worth camping ATM. There are multiple server channels(3) here but rumor has it the major OW bosses at 60 will use the implemented alliance system, in a zone with no server channels, a la Major cities. Sound familiar? : )
Latest update was Feb. 10 2011 so this is as recent as official info on Politics goes.
Right outta the official forums for people who don't follow other sites.1. Political clout can be gained by defeating enemies.
2. Valkyon Points can be earned, in part, by PVP.
3. Guilds active in PVP will be politically active.
4. The political system is a way in which players can interact.
5. There are a number of ways in which players can be elected into office: lobby the community, combat, and wealth.
6. Once in office, players can affect the economy, player interactions, and guild rivalries.
7. Battleground rewards will play a role in politics.
8. The history of each server will be affected by server politics.
9. You can overthrow current elected officials.
10. Guild housing will tie in somewhat to politics.
11. Politics has a direct impact on everything bought/sold, including via the Auction House.
12. Politics will not include castle seiges.
13. Valkyon Points can be used to raise the level of your guild, get guild buffs, and to buy potions from Valkyon stores.
14. Valkyon Points can be obtained from some quests and from battlegrounds.
15. Lordships (Vanarchs) and Kingships can be earned through PVP and/or elections.
16. Kingships can change taxes and spawn rates in their area.
17. Additions can be made to a city through the taxes ("expand the city, build some new stuff").
18. To become a King, you must first be a Vanarch and you are chosen via election.
19. You become a Vanarch via PVP or through election.
20. Your character needs to be level 30 or higher in order to be elected into a position.
21. Guild size currently set to 300 members.
22. An Archon's guild will gain access to faster mounts than other guilds.
23. Archons can place Priests and skill trainer NPCs.
24. Once elected, Archons will have the power to reposition guard NPCs.
25. Guild leaders can declare WAR against other guilds.
26. Guild leaders can create unique/special titles for guild members.
Is claiming like most mmo's, or is it like shitty Aion?
And fuck ya at overthrowing ppl in power, sounds like some awesome drama lol
Bound to color you mean?
There is an actual color claim system in this game, a la XI if that answers your question. People outside of PT/Alliance will see the mob's name grayed out so if they chose to attack, they can but won't really get anything outside of maybe some EXP. As far as loot goes, it goes to fully the claimer/killer.
Is the claim system first hit based?
Aion didn't have a claiming system, it was based on dmg done. So in zerg vs Zerg, the zerg w/ more deeps always won. Never seen a mmo do things that way outside of Aion
Not correct, I forget all of their names, but the one in Abyss Core, Bollvig, and the 2 on the floating islands all had very good loot and were always zerg races between 2-3 guilds on my server
If you were Elyos you had worthwhile world bosses
Even after you had better items they were still the best regular source of items to shard for plussing up items.
Yeah, well, regardless of what any MMO has had in the past, this one is colored to claimer. Remember there's both PVP and PVE servers with the same(so far) claim rules. If you want the passive XI style of hunting NM, you play PVE servers. If you want kill steals, there's PVP servers for that.
I haven't, but just because WoW is the largest MMO doesn't make what's true of it true of "most MMOs". At least, until developers see how well Rift is doing and flood the market with even more WoW reskins clones homages.
I understand that, I just figured chances were you had played WoW and forgot about the claim mechanics. That being said, Aion's claim system should have died a decade ago with Everquest. All it does is promote griefing and it's one of the things I hated about that game. I'm glad to hear TERA won't allow killstealing.
