You see the fruit like objects on the tress? Those are baby Popori. Hehehe.. :3
e: Nah, JK. That would be cool if you can see that in-game though lol. But they do grow on trees!

Sorry if someone already asked but what kind of PC specs are some of you guys walking into with TERA?
I myself have a pretty generic AMD II X4, 4GB of ram and a 5670 HD ati. Will I get some decent results? or should I look to upgrade?
Those videos were awesome, the combat looks so damn good. Also, Elin.![]()
them swords be to big son! but the game play does look good what was that armored alligator mob we saw?
Recommended System Requirements (atm)
CPU: Dual-core
RAM: 2GB or more
Graphic Card: GeForce 9800 or better
DIRECTX: DirectX 9.0c or higher
HDD: 30GB free hard disk space
Tera uses the Unreal 3 engine (basically) so you can get a lot out of a machine even w/o it being a powerhouse.
This being said, run the game on max setting if you can afford to. You will not be disappointed.
Great videos Fenux and I can vouch for everything he's saying. It's not a matter of trying to hype up the game before release, this game really deserves all the praise it's getting. It's stupid pretty and a ton of fun. Once this game comes out in the states, a lot of people are going to be cancelling their subs to other MMO's.

This game is just ridiculous, I have no other words. The screenshots don't even fully do it justice.
are you riding a valefor? :O
Is it September yet?
This topic is killing me, I really want to try this game out and see if it actually lives up to the crazy hype I've seen in here, but am too cheap to pay the $35 to play the Korean version. >.> I appreciate all the pictures and videos though, this game looks fantastic.
Who else hates the term big ass monster? I'm sure there are some 14 year olds who think it's fucking stupid, let alone anyone older.
BAM = elite world monster, they are basically for party grinding, and way cool![]()
I think it's pretty cool term. A lot more of a liberal term than most MMOs are willing to use.
I've been playing KR for a week or so now and I have to say the game is epic on so many levels. First, and most importantly, the gameplay is amazingly fun. The combat in the game is so engaging and fresh and exciting that, for the first time ever in my 15 or so years of MMO gaming (I played MUDDS and little online RPGs before EQ was even out) is the first time the game play is so fun I don't stare at my exp bar or feel like I'm being punished while leveling up. The game play is just downright fun. Funny thing is that this MMO's combat is so fun that I'm actually disappointed that the fastest Exp gain is from questing. I'd seriously have preferred killing mobs solo, or in a group, the entire time to max level. The combat is just that fun. Exp by the way is not extremely fast, but it's not punishly slow either. It feels like you go to an area, you kill the mobs and do the quests and by the time you've seen and done everything in the area you're making a pit stop back at town to get your new spells and sell your loot and you're off to the next area to do more quests and killings. Very polished and very perfect (Though more grinding mobs would have been just as acceptable, only because the fighting is really fun)
Second, the graphics, are as good as it gets in terms of MMOs. And i'm not talking "Style" or "Art look" here. I'm talking polygon count, texture detail, next generation lighting and shadow effect, ect ect. The game is technologically superior graphically to any other MMO out, by a HUGE margin. THEN combine that with the artist's great style, and you got a game that is seriously beautiful in every possible way.
Character customization is perfect balance too. You get hundreds of ways to customize your character's head. The hair, eyes, nose, mouth, horns, ears, everything above the neck you get a vast amount of costomization options that put most other MMOs to shame. It doesn't allow for body adjustments, but this is a good thing, because standardized body types allow for better performance in highly populated areas, and prevents people who make humans that look like gnomes, or stupid kids making boombaclot characters with huge arms and tiny legs with fat ass and huge bobble head. So the game allows you to create a character that's very unique and personal to your tastes, without allowing for options that take away from the game's atmosphere or hurt game performance.
The race choices compliment the character customization options perfectly, as if you want to play a stronger, more muscular looking character, you pick say, a human or amak, but if you want a small character, you can pick an Elin, or popori. If you want a slender skinny looking guy, you can pick a elf or castonic. Combined with different armor types, face/head options, and all the vastly different race choices, your character can really feel one of a kind even in a sea of other players.
UI is very intuitive for beginner MMOers, but allows for customization options to allow seasoned players who know their way around a keyboard to really lock in a comfortable set up, no matter what class you're playing. Many skills are "chained" to activate after other abilities, which you can use by simply hitting the spacebar. It's perfect balance of skill count, and chains, to allow players to focus on the game itself, instead of staring at a hotbar the whole time. Perfect in every way.
I think that my only complaint about the game so far is that you don't really get group content till level 20+. So if you have friends that all wanna play and stay together, the first 19 levels are gunna be pretty boring (mashing through solo mobs in a static group of 3-4 friends is not gunna be very challenging) Now, this complaint is countered by the fact that it only takes a few hours of actual gameplay to get to level 20, so it's not a HUGE deal, but I would have liked seeing an alternate quest/mob route for people say, level 5-19 who are in a group of 3 or more.
TERA is pretty much perfect in every way and I know for a fact that future MMOs are really gunna have to blow my mind if they want me to leave TERA to go play something else. Looking at the upcoming MMO list, watching trailors and reading forums, I'm not impressed at other MMOs coming out in next year or 2. BladeNsoul might surprise me, but at this point in time I highly doubt it, and everything else looks like more wow clones, so I think TERA might be my next "EQ" which I end up playing for many years to come.![]()
See, I always thought BAM stood for bad ass motherfucker. I think I'll just stick to my description.
I agree, this thread is killing me.. wtg game.. Welt.. start playing and tell me what you think!

Here is a screenshot of TERA running on:
Pentium 4 D (first dual core circa 05)
intel i955x mobo
radeon hd 5770
game runs great solo, i have some lag spikes during group play but im still playing on a mix of medium/heavy graphics settings and I can always turn it down. Game looks beautiful even with a rig like this.
Last night, I ended up having a friend quit at work, and we went to drink haha. I am downloading/paying tonight @_@ Katlan, start a charcter with me. Note: I can only play at nights, and my I likely won't give up my weekends to play a game I will be restarting certainly on US release![]()
