^I'm going to go with the butt ugly answer. Someone earlier said that hitting "randomize" for face features can get you some pretty fugly results.

Yeah, I remember seeing an Elin creation video and there are some truly terrible face options in there. They are just horror movie levels of scary.

Yeah.. there are only like 3-4 preset good looking Elin faces, once you hit randomize it's game over for any race. TERRIBLE lol

That's because they changed the face, on a model that has a baby face to begin with. Smaller eyes etc. Those shorts are mid level archer style shorts.

I can't even begin to decide what I'll want to play in NA. I'm using my time really to solidify a choice and try and see as much of TERA until then.

@Purrfect, Archer is a lot of fun. I've found the aiming to be a little more difficult when the mob is moving toward another player in my group due to the latency (300+ms to k servers) but im sure that in NA it will be fine.

@Avelle, What did you end up getting your lancer to last night? I had to sleep for work;; dash all day, everyday

I got to 18 but then I went to sleep. Now I have other things to do before I can log on but I'll be back on around midnight est. Hoping to do that instance Fenux was talking about last night.

You can close the downloader np and it will pick up where it left off later.

Ok so I took some videos last night, primarily to show lancer off to a friend of mine I tanked with in FFXI. The first video is just running around killing stuff and the second video shows off a bit of the shield blocking mechanic in the game. For those that don't know, you press and hold a button to place your shield in front of you and any attack from that direction is 0 damage. It's pretty damn cool. Really like that when you get hit you don't stand there like nothing happened, you actually get pushed back some. The videos are available in HD if you watch them on youtube. The resolution is a little weird because I was getting fps issues during playback after recording at 1920x1200 so this is 1440x900.

How is Lancer damage compared to the other classes?

I like the class, but I'm afraid it's going to be like the Templar in Aion. Leveling up you do pitiful damage, and unless you're geared to the teeth you're not really that durable either.
