Name one FoV NM that gives augments that reduce the reuse timer of your 2-hour ability, or any ability for that matter.

Actually I read that Evolith Stone as:

Mighty Strikes: Ability Delay -X

Meaning that while Mighty Strikes is active, your other abilities will be shortened by X amount.

I think it's probably best to wait and see what the full list of Evolith Stones are and how the current existing gear/weapons will be slotted for Evolith Stones themselves

I don't think..I've ever seen a NPC fail synthesis. I'm sure the "if successful" just means that the armor/weapon is actually compatible with said Evolith since there's different shapes/sizes etc it's not that illogical to think an oval shaped Evolith is supposed to fit into a circle shaped slot thus it will fail >.>

Or it could be that the particular Evolith will give might strikes delay-x but you're trying to put it onto a hexagun and will fail.

Unless I never knew the crafter in Whitegate can fail on the ToAU Artifact Armors, and the one that does Salvage Armor.

hehe you should try the synthesis run of MMM. HEHE there are many CS's in windy where a Tarutaru's attempt to make something went BOOOM with comical results.

it could still be tied to an existing skill.. requiring existing craft levels and the presence of the NPC thingy (enchantment maybe)..

meaning to say, you or a crafter you know synths it. nothing really says anything about NPCs crafting it.. the engineer might just be there to evaluate what works and what doesnt

The rocks are EX. It has to be the npc that synths or it doesn't make much sense.

or it could just be an entirely new craft that depends on other crafts up to Lv60. Or high level synergy may only be required for etching slots into base equipment but not attaching evoliths.. Maybe attaching evoliths itself is a Synergy synth that works as long as 1 of your synths is lv10 or something.

I think the fact that it's gonna get its own update notes topic makes a point that Synergy isn't just a subsystem of Evolith for obtaining rewards but a grand new system by itself.
I get the feeling Synergy is basically an entirely new Synthesis system that doesn't use Crystals but involves Evoliths and require Furnaces.. so having people do it on their own isn't that out of the question...

We'll find out when they release the Synergy topic notes tho..

Except with SEs normal level of over-complication.

Aion socketing:
1. "Oh look a stone"
2. Is it the same level or lower than the socket in your gear (y/n)
3. if yes, stick it in on your own (no npc needed)

SE socketing:
1. Farm pop items/points to access the NM fight (guess here)
2. fight the NM
3. "Oh look a stone"
4. Is it the same element as the socket in your gear (y/n)
5. Is it the same level of element (or lower) as the socket in your gear (y/n)
6. Is it the same 'shape' as the socket in your gear (y/n)
7. If yes, Haul your ass back to town and trade it all to an npc with some sort of payment/other materials

You forgot step 8 - Hope it fucking works (they seemed to imply at the end that it can fail... so what happens if the synth fails? >_>)


Also, for everyone QQ about augments; We still don't know if you can socket an augmented item or not. If so, then this just got even better! (Also more time consuming but who wouldn't want to socket a weskit that already got INT +6?)

- Evolith can be obtained by completing new NM hunting regimes accessible from "Hunt Registries" that will be introduced to certain areas alongside the Evolith system

Hunt Registries = Red Grimoire books and separate from FoV.

It is also possible to remove evolith slots entirely—thereby returning the equipment to its original state

So why can't they let us un-augment things?

Hours spent farming FoV Tabs + fight with NM * random = Gear permanently ruined.
vs.
Hours spent doing who knows what + more hoops to jump through * at least you get to pick your poison = You can do it again /hooray masochism.
