I'll probably not go for the "pig out then work out" route since.. well, pigging out enough to make me gain will probably put a sizable dent in my food budget every month, which hurts as a college student. The slower route of eating just enough to slowly gain muscle as I work it out since i've been skinny as hell for 18 years - what's another few months? I'm just wanting to see results in a moderate length of time! :D

Seems like I'll be buyin lots of tuna, chicken, beef, and pork the next time I shop! Any other high protein foodstuffs y'all use?

    (I'm 7% body fat.. I think?)

Buy what you like, protein is protein no matter the source. so don't go trying to choke down canned tuna when delicious moist juicy beef is right there.

anyone ever have those Pepperidge Farms Deli Flats before? They're basically just buns but thin enough that they only have 100 calories, but still sturdy enough to hold a hamburger really well. I used to eat my burgers on whole wheat english muffins but I think I'm gonna stick with these from now on.

That is, if I can ever eat again, holy fuck. 2 cheeseburgers with grilled onions, sweet potato fries, and brussels sprouts. I'm about to pass out (after ice cream)

Rock those everyday with my tunafish. Staple in my routine. They toast so nicely.

ok yeah these things are amazing for egg sandwiches. I'm definitely gonna buy more of the whole wheat ones today. I wish they had an onion flavor for burgers though

Anyone have a favorite brand of turkey bacon? I usually use the Louis Rich and just microwave it until it gets really crispy, although I used to love the Trader Joes uncured stuff too.

no, but I live in jewville so why would I not just get ridiculously good regular pastrami?

Ever have kosher salami? I think that's a big american jew thing, my mom would always slice it about 1/4-1/2" thick and fry it with eggs, or grilled on rye with deli mustard.

That is a ton of money on food. Are you feeding more than one person on that bill? Haha, I bought a whole ton of food based on advice I got in this thread and it came under 50 bucks. You must be getting the Rolls-Royce of goods.

Wonder how this tuna will taste though.

you're not alone, I'm still trying to get the last few lbs off and get under 150 (I'm at 151.4 right now, so close) which was my goal when I restructured my lifestyle in May 2009 when I weighed 196 lbs.

I'd love to try and get to 145, but we'll see how hard these last couple of lbs are going to be, an additional 5 might be a little too low for my bf%. What really sucks right now is that I re-aggravated a strain in my soleus (deep in my calf) and can't do as much cardio as I'd like to.

Its just a lot of food...

nothing really special... I think the most "high end" food item I bought was a precooked whole chicken for $8.99. I ate that in one meal along with 8 peppers, 3 Bananas, 2 apples, 1 cup of coconut rice, and a bag of lettuce with lemon poppy seed dressing.

2 hours later I was hungry again.

But I haven't ate all $400 worth of food yet, theres still maybe 1/3 of it left.
