any sorta of tweak for a few weeks should help. something like legpress->front squats or hack squats->front squats, stepping away from the movement for a few weeks is enough to get you out of your rut.

I don't suppose there is anything I can really do, but ever since high school (now 26) when I curl heavy weights, I get a sharp pain in my left forearm. It feels like a bruise would if you pressed down on it. I've gone years without lifting, lifted a lot, and everything in between. Nothing has ever helped! Ideas?

I have the same thing, I always just thought it was like shin splints for my forearms. Either take a break from the workout for a while or go lighter weight.

Try to do it in light weight but high reps, like 3x15. But don't increase the weight too fast, probably like 5 to 10lbs after three months or so. I have the similar issue in the past, where I can lift anything heavy else my shoulder will very pain (~10lbs dumbbell of shoulder press is the maximum). But after like 4years+ or slowly training, I can do about 45lbs of dumbbell right now, although still have some psychology issue such that I can't lower as much as I want when doing bench press.

that's not a psychology issue, that's a real issue, rotator cuff aint nothing to fuck with. For your shoulders do a barbell and make sure you're not upright try to lean back. or try something brute forceish like a push press or a clean and press.

im taking it easy lately, too lol. i did some seated dips on my chest day and went a bit too heavy for too many reps. i was using my core on my cheat reps towards the end that my heart felt as if it was going to pop out on my absolute last rep, and my breathing was hurting me very bad. i went home and my left shoulder was killing me and everytime i took a deep breath, it felt like i was going to have a heart attack lol. 400 grams of protien, tons of omega 3s and vitamins and 2 days later and i feel perfectly fine lol

you get pains in your forearm after doing bicep curls from over-engaging your wrists. Try to lock your wrists out and only use your biceps to curl the weight, on heavy weights or your last reps it's really hard to lose focus and engage them to get the weight up, and that's how you get sore. Are you keeping your elbows steady too? I'm guessing elbow engagement could contribute to wrist engagement too but that's just a guess.

If you're using a bicep curl machine you can actually rest the bar part on your wrists themselves and then you have no way to accidentally use them, but obviously this is a little dangerous if you're using a barbell or something lol

I suggest eating and sleeping more. If that doesn't work then increase the weight more slowly.

Thanks guys, I'll try to lock wrists with the heavy stuff first, and go light if that won't work.

Fack, typed up alot then hit the back button which is right below my shift key.

Anyways when I use to do EZ bar preachers it would feel like my forearm was about to snap. I started using dumbells for preachers and haven't had a problem since. I've also seen nice size gains since I started doing biceps after chest on Mondays then hitting them again inadvertently when doing back on Fridays.

and <3 reverse curls or pinwheel curls.

Personally, I'd drop the decline bench for incline. The range of motion for decline is less, and you'll get more with of workout with incline. I know you have it on shoulders' days, but it really is more of a chest workout. You have a lot of shoulder workouts, so you won't really lose out from dropping inclines on Thursdays. Also, if your gym has a leg press, I'd try to use that a bit.

I just added incline to my Thursday workout and swapped decline in to chest days a couple weeks ago. XD I really want to hit my chest again other then once a week.

I use the leg press when the leg extension are being used. I don't particularly like the leg press XD Seems to bother my lower back more then anything else.

Yea, it does do a bit for my back, too, when I get up in weight or reps. Leg extensions are fine, I just like the leg press personally lol.

Honestly I haven't done abs since November. I should just take them off the split for now. I'll start doing abs toward the end of this 6 week bulk but I'm not going waste 45 mins on abs either. I'll admit that they are not what they use to be but I never did ab workouts other then core movement for baseball in my life (twisting with the medicine ball). I've always had a decent pack until FFXI.

Edit: I forgot there was a 6 month period we were doing off season training for juco baseball. We trained abs daily like no other. Although you could probably drop a bowling ball on my stomach without a flinch it looked...... No different!!!

Got a few questions maybe you can help me out. Esp you Wei since you probably have plenty of secret snacks that are healthy/cals/protein. Trying to get my Cals up to 4000 a day for my next bulk but keep it cleaner than my last few bulks. I'm stuck at work for 10 hours a day right now so getting in 2500~ while at work is kinda tough without everyone looking at you like your crazy lol. Current schedule

    http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h.../Capture-1.png

I haven't been doing the whey shake at 9AM and 3PM yet. I plan on starting that next week. I mostly try to grab a biscuit or cashew/milk/beef jerky from the store.
    * How long does backed chicken breast stay fresh sealed in a refrigerator?
    * How long does PB&J sandwich stay fresh if already spread on bread?
*May substitute 3:15 Whey with chocolate milk, 1/2 pb&j, cashews
*I know I need more vegies... other than throwing a bag of carrots in the fridge at work idk what to do
    * I plan on keeping this up for 6 weeks, goal 190lbs -> 205lbs
    * Would adding in 300 cals of oats to my breakfast shake help? What Oats are the right ones to buy?

Dunno if I can keep the 4000 cals 350g protein a day....

@ Abs workout - I started doing Turkish Get Ups..they are hard I like them though.

@ Gustave - What's an example of your dinner?

It's simple: Add more fats! Oils, butters...etc. You should be like Atreides and eat tons of ice cream!

Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm looking at you, Atreides/Meat)--is eating 350g protein for someone around 190lb aiming for 205lb excessive? Will your body be able to use all that protein?

Get steel cut oats if you must buy oats...
Baked chicken breast would probably last a week at most?
PB&J sandwiches stay fresh for at least a day, maybe 2, in the fridge. But...only good thing about that is the PB part.
Yes, you do need more veggies.
Add more nuts instead! Maybe even dried fruit. A little bit of dried fruit has tons of calories. :D

I don't really know if this is "eating clean"...as it's mainly shakes and... yeah. D:

It's really not uncommon for people to take 2g of protein per 1lb of body fat when trying to bulk. So, that doesn't seem unreasonable at all as long he's doing some good lifting in the gym and breaking down his muscles.

I've also been having trouble carrying on with a bulk due to my job. I work outside for up to 8-10 hours at a time, and can't take food out with me. So, I miss lunch at least 3 times a week, depending on what we have to do. I'm an aircraft mechanic, so if we get stuck doing something, we're usually pushing to get it done ASAP so we can leave on time. Really got to figure out a way to deal with this so I can start putting on some more weight. Thinking I can probably sneak out some peanut butter crackers at the very least, lol.
