whole foods usually has a place where you can grind your own almond/cashew/peanut butter. Their self-grind almond butter is actually pretty fantastic.
Figured I'de post my pics of my frontal upper body. This is what I have accomplished without ANY supplements. I am talking no vitamins / Whey / Creatine / drinks etc... I am allergic to something in almost every protein bar/shake/powder. So I sticked to a meaty / nutty / healthy diet. I just recently started going heavy into abs to get ready for the beach. I'm pretty satisfied with my outcome. I was 110lb senior year of H.S. 2 and a half years later. I weigh 145-150 lb. My favorite outcomes: Chest/Bi/Tri. I'll update in a day or 2 after I hit the gym with a better tri/bi shot.
Spoiler: show
P.S: These pics are after a week hiatus from the gym after dislocating my shoulder, and after eating 4 slices of pizza 2-3 hours ago.
Omni wins. How tall are you?
speaking of peanut butter ran across this the other day from a site I frequent:
http://www.peanutbutterboy.com/peanu...nana-omelette/
Ingredients:
2-3 eggs (1/2 – 3/4 cup egg substitute)
1 banana, in slices
2T chunky or creamy natural peanut butter
pinch of sugar
Instructions:
1. Place a medium sized skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Spray with cooking spray and pour in the eggs.
2. Sprinkle some sugar into the eggs and place sliced bananas into pan as demonstrated below:
3. Lift the sides of the omelette up to allow the still-liquid eggs to flow underneath and cook. After a few minutes, flip the omelette over with a large spatula.
4. Spread a generous coating of peanut butter onto one half of the omelette as shown below. Fold the omelette over and allow to cook for another minute. Flip it onto the other side for one last minute and serve!

At first glance I was like eww.....but the more I see it, the more I am intrigued. I think I'll give it a go come Sunday.
@Omni-- Abs are made in the kitchen! As in, don't really need to focus on ab workouts... won't do anything, really. But good progress so far. ;o
@Velgadess-- mmm that looks delicious. It almost looks more like an egg-y pancake or something.
Any of you got a workout that focuses on building the muscle up on just the one leg?
Or would I be better off using presses/resistance machines normally until the gimp one catches up?
Got me some knee surgery next week and I want to get my leg back to the old thunder thigh soon as I can. Going to need the muscle for extra stability so I don't re-injure.
I'm thinking maybe.... bulgarian split squats? Step ups? Lunges? Using dumbbells or barbells... maybe not barbell for step ups.

I list those as you focus on one leg at a time. Obviously, it would be disproportionate if you don't also work your other leg. These exercises are good for making sure you're building strength/muscle equally for both legs. If you were already lifting/working out before and had muscular legs, your injured leg would probably be able to get back to what it was fast.
However, how long are you going to wait until your knee recovers? I don't think muscle atrophy occurs that fast? Please correct me if I'm wrong, as I'm no expert on that.
They're carving at my knee cartilage (again) so I'll be non-weight bearing a few weeks.
Last time they went in to repair it I lost all the muscle in my leg after about a week. It's pretty amazing how quickly the muscle will dissapear when you can't use the leg at all.
Just trying to plan ahead. Speaking of, I need to go renew my gym membership.
Cheers for the link.
Figured I'd ask in this thread instead of starting a new one. What's a diet-friendly to get wasted on?
Yeah >.>;
Or water! Water intoxication is the besttt.
vodka mixed with........ wait for it. water.
My turn!
I've not yet crossed the threshold into fatass and I'd like to keep it that way, and move away from the visible gut I've developed over the last year or two.
There's a total gym here in the house, but whenever I've tried to use it (using one of the pre-designed plans the system came with...I can get the exact name, if someone cares, it's like 6 days of different sets of workouts) I can't seem to find a balance between actually feeling like I'm putting effort into it and overexertion/danger of injury. So I've decided to look toward running, which has the added benefit of being able to do music with it.
A friend recommended a routine like this: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml
Which appeals to me, being only 30 minutes per session. I'm trying to avoid going much longer than that, as I do still play XI somewhat regularly and would like to retain attendance at usual activities there lol
I'm not expecting radical change overnight, just want to feel less...lazy, I suppose. I'm also not really looking to get cut (another reason I don't particularly care for the total gym approach, seems like a lot of anaerobics and the stuff that's aerobic doesn't feel right) or condition myself toward any specific thing like running a 5k or such (despite that being the purpose of the guide). Just want to get into a rhythm and be (comparatively) healthier.
So! My twofold question:
a) does that guide look good? Friend said it did and he says the fitness nuts he talked to when he was looking into it all agreed, just figure I'd get more input wherever I could lol.
b) Does anyone know an app that you can put on an ipod classic (or on pc that generates a "podcast" that you can toss on your classic) that lets you define intervals like that guide has? Would like to listen to music and know when I need to switch modes without having to religiously look at my watch or have the music switch abruptly.
Edit: And to go along with b, if anyone has suggestions for a good armband carrier for a 160gb classic I'm all ears, reviews on the ones available from apple look pretty bad; I could buy a shuffle for this purpose, especially if I have to use the "podcast" method, but would like to avoid buying another ipod just for that reason lol.
while simply adding 30 minutes of cardio might be enough to make you lose your gut, you probably want to look into changing your diet to be healthier/less calories/etc. Weight loss is like 80% diet, 20% exercise anyway.
Dietary habits are already being adjusted, I'm more interested in the exercise. I've had a pretty naturally fast metabolism all my life and enjoy eating fresh fruit and salads and such already...I've just gradually become less active in the last few years as my job has progressed more toward desk-only sort of work.
