a bit surprised the music portion wasnt longer too.

well you gotta figure, a normal 30 minute show is 20 minutes of actual show and 10 minutes of commercials, so we're only getting 5 min longer episodes.

that being said, it felt like i missed a few episodes with offdenson being dead at the beginning. and yeah the first few minutes were really fucked up lol. Who was the new guy anyway?

This was a little weird for me because before they started airing commercials for this episode, I had no idea the manager was supposed to be dead. I thought he'd just been beaten senseless at the end of last season. Still, glad he's back.

I'm gonna guess the other guy at the signing deal died and was meant to be a reference to Metallica's original... uh, bassist? who died in a bus crash early in the band's career.

I thought it was totally lame that the manager came back via Deus Ex Machina. I looked forward to the band trying to take care of themselves and the ensuing shit that would follow.

Great episode! I was worried that the whole style would become stale and overplayed but it turned out pretty well. Only thing I'm disappointed in is I think this is the first episode where the whole thing didn't end in destruction.

I love the manager when he's condescending the band about their bad decisions. Same tone parents use when their kids won't leave chuckie cheese or something and they go "Alright, I'm leaving, have fun here alone."
