Monitor + Wallpaper

So I got myself a brand new monitor, and now to go with it I would want a brand new wallpaper. I've been googling for eliza dushku 1290 x 1080 wallpapers, but all the results we're craptastic.
So I ask, what wallpaper website does BG use for 16:9 monitors?

On a semi-unrelated note, why does youtube takes like 1/3 of my screen now but BG still uses all of it.

Google image search can be okay for specific stuff like that. Put in your subject and picture dimensions and you'll get some hits.

For example I searched: Eliza dushku 1680x1050 and got a few relevant hits before it started going off on non-Eliza images.

I thought about /r/, but the only time I asked for something there, I got laughed at and sent on my way.
Making my own would be an ok idea I guess, I saw somewhere on BG someone posted a link to photoshop along with a serie of unrelated random numbers, i'll have to dig a lil. Thx.

/r/ is generally useless for anything and anybody who regularly browses it expecting results is poorly misinformed, if you want something use the rapidshit search ... or in your case just camp out at /wg/ for wallpaper/general, or if youre into that sorta thing /w/ for anime wallpapers


7chan has /wp/ for wallpapers (NSFW walls can be found in the subforum inside, again, if you're into noodies)

otherwise, google works, install rainmeter for added effect. youll have a pretty desktop in no time.

4chan also has two wallpaper sections, can always try your luck there. I havent been a regular vistor of 4ch in well over 5 years, but I do go back now and then to check their wallpaper and rapishare links.

I tried that, but what I want is too specific, I don't feel like browsing 4chan all day for a wallpaper. I searched google a bit more and found some lower res wallpaper that does the job, so thanks you 3 for the help, and i'm still open to suggestions.

You could also try requesting in the wg sections. If you contribute a bit yourself, you might not only get "gb2/r/" replies.

i missed this,

Youtube's client has a set number of pixels it will operate on (unless you switch to fullscreen mode)
bluegartr, like many internet forums and internet applications are simply a bunch of forms that take up a percentage of your screen rather than a set width

you can get the same effect by making a table in HTML

<table border=1 bgcolor="green" width=300 height=100>

would display a table 300 pixels wide by 100 pixels high.

<table border=1 bgcolor="green" width=80% height=20%>

would display a table 80% of the screen wide, to 20% of the screen high. scaling with your screen as you change resolutions




on the desktop of your choice, to get a desktop that nobody else has, google an image with a higher resolution and either resample, or better yet, crop it to your desktop width, thats often what i do. I'd give you some examples but my own computer bit the dust due to a faulty AC adapter

in your case; Google results for "Dushku" showing any image over two megapixels.

Sorry for the bump into prehistoric content but I kinda need suggestions here again.

I need to learn to google I guess, but heh. I been searching for the past 2 hours for a decent wallpaper website that'd let you browse by category AND size, but I can't find any. 4chan failed me as well.

If you guys have any suggestions, please be my guest. If you don't but have wallpapers of Laura Vandervoort (chick that plays in V (Lisa)) in 1920x1080 or close, PM me please. Or, if you have sexy wallpapers of known actresses (no nudes please).

I usually use http://4walled.org/ for walls by browsing through the randoms. You can search by name (if they're tagged), and/or resolution. I believe it actually pulls from the 4chan/7chan image database. Some could be NSFW though, so don't browse at work or anything.
