Well if crispy bacon can flex a bit without breaking then it is perfectly fine. 0-10 scale, if 0 is super chewy and 10 is super hard (shatter when hit) then I would probably enjoy 2-7. As you can see I left out 3 points on crispy and just 2 on chewy. This science proves chewy is the better overall choice and is slightly better.

I chose chewy. If some unknown cook said 'crispy or chewy bacon' and thats all I had to go on I would get chewy because it's more likely to be good.

Bacon that is hard and won't flex/bend if you pick it up is really not enjoyable at all, thats why that kind of bacon gets broken up and put on shitty salads because no one eats it and it's left over.

I think i need to be more specific. If we are discussing bacon as a lone item on a plate to eat by itself, I'm indifferent. If we are discussing the ways in which bacon can be used, chewy is by far the more superior bacon type. With crispy, you get 2 uses. Bacon and bacon bits.
