How rare are max stat augments?

Not worth blowing scraps to get the uber best augments be happy with what you have.

And what affects hq rate in general? Do impurities matter at the time of ending synergy, or is only getting the alignments close important? And for these augment/tatter/scrap synths, do the secondary alignments matter (the ones that are supposed to be 00)? I figured it does, but on the shield augment above, I had lightning at -8.

Its all bullshit luck nothing matters except hitting the zone on the requirements of the synth everything else is not important.

Also, would leveling synergy 71-80 have any impact on these?

If synergy is based off the old crafting tiers probably not. Either way, Couldn't hurt.

Synergy lvl definitely affects HQ rates. Just look thru the posts of everyone attempting stuff at lower lvls and getting nothing lol

It wasn't a question of whether skill affects it at all, but rather if you would be capped by 70. Seems like I'd need to find someone with an actual craft to afk in my party for a while to get 70-80, or wait until I actually level something myself.

well from what I've read of people augmenting at 70 it seems like yes higher is better though how high is questionable. Shouldn't be too hard to convince someone to afk with you for a bit lol.

If you have a cooking mule or a friend with 78 cooking you can do some broth recipe to 80, cap is 81/82iirc

So I left about a month before synergy release and came back today; I've got 100 bonecraft[with all the +'s] and am curious on if this is the optimum path [http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Sy...e_by_Chocobits ] for quick leveling synergy? I've read about the system quite a bit, but to be honest I just want to cap it and get it done; so looking for the best way :/

buy a truckload of earth fewell, spam platinum nugget synth over and over, jsut spamming earth fewell, can get to 70 in less than 24hr

Do Avant Gauntlets only +1 on the HQ3 synth? Been trying to make some for the wife and just had returns of 337 Ponze, 458 Ponze and 504 Ponze. All 3 NQ'ed.

EDIT: Just did 2 more and got 504 + 554. 554 HQ'ed. So I guess it is a HQ3 synth only.

Trying to do the above and I very rarely even get 1 skillup per synth; am I doing something wrong[Synergy level 6, Bone 100, everything else 30+]? Or does synergy not have a skill up chance on each feed or am I just a victim of the random number generator? Did about 12 synths in a row with no skill ups?

It starts slow but it will speed up if you keep at it. Eventually. I about gave up on my old character when it was around 8. It was so irritating. A friend said to keep at it. I only did synths for maybe an hr a day, and I got to 70 pretty fast.

Can start with a lower nugget, gold maybe? May blow up slightly less. Otherwise just do it more.

I, too, didn't see the skillup rate that others spoke of. All I can say is keep pluggin. You'll get there. The nugget way is still the easiest way to go.

That explains why i'm 0/10 on them lol. I HQ Legs around 40% of the time. (9/10 HQ is my best streak) I guess I should pay more attention to my Ponze return.

I found starting a little closer to your lvl helps. Ya know only 20-30 away instead of 50 lol

Is there an updated list of lvl 80-90 recipes somewhere? Wiki have a few, but I don't see any that involves WW ; ; or did they just leave WW out of the dust lol

Still 80, although I'm not sure if the May update is planning to affect it. I have not kept up closely with any released notes.

I wanted to inform the community that you can get up to elemental magic 6 on valkyrie's trews. I noticed the wiki only stated 5. You can achieve 6 on HQ2.
