I just need to find where the secret exit to the cannon is in World 1 and I'll have that world all wrapped up. Although my star coin collection for the other worlds is pretty uneven.

Just got to world 4, although I already found the cannons to worlds 5 and 6.

This is one of those game where when you have more people playing, the difficulty grows exponentially lol. I'm yelling at my friends constantly, accidentally jumping on their heads, stealing items, and that little one second freeze when someone dies always throws me off. Also, those emergency bubbles are hax lol.

If the bubbles weren't hax to hit last-second before dying, everyone's shame-points (what I call the counter the game adds to everytime you game over on your character) would be through the roof.

My fucking god, I brought my Wii over to my friend's place, and we were yelling at each other the whole time, so much fun thanks to always accidently fucking each other over. We did one map in world 3 (iirc) where it's vertically based, but the whole map revolves around you staying on a rotating pink block, and it's fucking crowded being on that with 3 others. The whole map involved everyone jumping like mad men, with one my friends having stayed a float almost the entire trip due to him always landing on someone's head, propelling him higher off the top of the screen.

It's totally not the type of game to take seriously with others. If you do, expect to rage on many occasions.

I have to say, the game holds up well visually on a 46" HDTV, I was expecting the game to get super jaggy, but it appears Nintendo actually used some anti-aliasing for once.

Profanity was definitely flying around earlier today when I finally picked this up. It's so rewarding to be an asshole in this game, it's better than Mario Party because you have complete control over it, but it's not as epic as some of the rage fests we've had on that game.

    Very enjoyable so far

I believe you can use nunchuk, but the main control config is wii remotes sideways, and that's essentially it.

If it weren't for Brawl my wavebirds would be collecting dust for good thanks to the lack of games supporting additional inputs outside of the Remote+Nunchuk config.

Ive come to realize why I hate movies, shows, games, etc that focus around water. It's because all the damn mario and zelda I played when I was young, and how much the water levels completly sucked balls. So thanks to this game I now understand where my hatered for water levels comes from.

My main hatred for water in most games is that it makes the game progress around 50% slower, it disrupts the pacing.

I don't mind it in Zelda games for the purpose of puzzles, but god, fuck swimming in general if you can't do it speedily. (like the Zora mask in Majora's Mask)

So I've found a 'quick save', and you get prompted for a save after the half-castle / main castle has been beaten. Is there any other way to save? I'd hate to keep playing until a castle, when all I want to do is play a few levels.

Oh man picking up your friends and throwing them into lava or the abyss is so fun. And for some reason licking other yoshis is hilarious.

Unfortunately, no, and I don't see why not given you have infinite continues after a game over. Quick-save will work if you need to stop on a whim, although it's just a temporary save data which is deleted when you resume.

This is the first game in a while that makes me want a wii, I can still stick it out for Monster Hunter 3 tho.

Yes, I love it that you can kill your teammates. I tossed my girlfriend to get one of those big coins on top of a hole and it was LOL ;o

This just in, the two Toads have unofficial names from the developers:

    Yellow Toad is Ala-Gold.
    Blue Toad is Bucken-Berry.

    Spread the word.

    Destructoid?

My wife and I are loving it. It's quite a bit harder than I had expected. Sometimes having the two of us makes things harder, but also the who bubble system keeps us from having to start over if we die. Even when you do die in multiplayer it's just fun rather than frustrating.

I think Miyamoto is right about this one having legs. If you have a Wii you will buy it. If not now, you'll buy it eventually. If you don't have a Wii, this will likely make you want one, and if you ever get talked into buying a Wii for another reason, you will buy this game for it.

The change for the second castle boss fight is a huge dick move. I beat the boss so easily in the mid-level castle, then that damn Kamek has to come on in and be an asshole.

Maybe one day I'll go and "farm" mushrooms in World 2 or something. My stock keeps hovering around the 20s. Although I can probably stretch those until the end of the game. Mushrooms are the only items I ever use from the world map anyway.

There's a couple spots where getting a particular star coin almost forces you to use a particular item from the world map due to it not being available in said stage.

As for now i am not that much impressed with the game, maybe it's because i'm only in world 3 or that i'm playing solo.

The game is good but it's not awsome like SMB3 or Super mario world

It was like this in quite a few instances in NSMB DS. This is where I've found multiplayer to be quite helpful in getting to an obstacle that would otherwise be more difficult to circumvent.
