So, let me get this straight. They gimped the job ability because in THEORY it could possible one shot something like AV, except the theory has not been successful of one shotting anything other than a yovra, which can be duo'd by a couple of sch's or blm's anyway.
If this predetermine amount of time is anything longer than 3 seconds I demand SE give me back my 150,000 exp, which made worthless ability (unmerited) worth meriting in the first place.
Yet another shameless attempt of SE to cockblock the community from defeating their precious AV.

Well, something for the Fisher in me, a whole new annoying plethora of quests to do for Shantotto reward (that I still haven't decided what I'm going to upgrade), new WoTG quests to continue with that story arc, maybe some new fancy NMs in those places listed above (that no-one saw coming), new Evolith system later on, new Synergy synthesis skill, and a little something to add to my Summoner's soloability.
PERSONALLY, for me who no longer does end-game events n such (other than Salvage), this is a nice update. Not amazing, but nice. Maybe I'll go back to MMM and fish sum shit up, lol.

i'm usually one for trying to find the bright spot in an update, but as i was readying myself to run back into the arms of my first job to 75 (rng), i find this update to be pretty much fail.

True, but with the new change in the notes, it means that if a BST has the hat (which is a really high drop from Xotlol as it is), they can use 1000 Needles ASAP, then it goes every 3 minutes. Anything under 18000 HP is dead within 30 seconds if you have an all BST alliance and it's hate free damage on top of that. Though if you replaced one with a good PLD, they can probably stay alive for 3 minutes hopefully before the next volley if not dead.
As for XP parties, this might actually be enough to make the populace invite them somewhat now. There are probably some decent 2 charge attacks that can be spammed to increase damage overall. Now I can't wait to log into BST and check what the charge requirements are for different jugs.

1min per charge and starting with 3 charges is so much more sensible and more favourable to BST...

I'm really actually excited about checking the bst jug charge requirements now. I've been saving stacks of good jugs forever. Maybe this will make it so crafters actually bother making jugs and putting them on the AH so I won't have to travel to timbuktu looking for jugs.
As far as Avatar's favor it doesn't look as if there is actually any weakening of the avatar as implied in the teaser's wording. Would make sense that way though, since a weakened avatar while using avatars favor during solo or in battles is useless when a swing from a good staff already takes hate off the avatar (solo) and you need the offensive power to contribute during battles. Only thing i need to know now is if avatars receive the effects of their own favor like how the ward system works.
