PlayOnline incoming/outgoing mail servers?

So.. I've had my "@pol.com" email address for a few years, but haven't really used it because I'd prefer being able to check my email on my phone rather than strictly through playonline or through their website

Does anyone know their incoming/outgoing mail server information? Or is this something they don't have publically available?

It shows the servers right in POL.

POP: po000.pol.com
SMTP: ma000.pol.com

Most email clients can't connect to the POL servers because they use APOP authentication.

Only client I know of that supports that is Mozilla Thunderbird.

It's definitely possible to make work though, I know of a couple of people who have managed it.

Thanks for the information, yeah my mail program on my phone isn't working properly with those mail servers, probably due to the APOP vs POP3

I had it working on Outlook Express on Mac OS 9 when I first created my account, and it worked until I upgraded my computer to OS X 3 years ago.
