well i guess i should ask more like....should i come sch, replacing the 2nd whm and try to cure spam with 2 hour and accession

or...

rdm/whm to hold white shantotto while party kills dark then chainspell curaga2 during white shan fight...while still having 2 whms

or...

rdm/drk to do the same then chainspell stun white shant when the party fights her? while still having 2 whms

not sure if chainspell would do any good if the spells are insta cast anyway.....

Honestly I have only tried this fight with 2 whm 4 DD setup, 3 healer 3 DD will probably work if you can manage the cure on everyone being hit but i don't guarantee anything as I have not used that setup.

WHM sub rdm with cure clog and capped cure casting merit = releasing aga 4 in 2 sec which is a beast in this fight

A note on the ???s for the last battle...

I accidentally missed one, and can confirm that each one gives a specific buff for final fight. Also, if one person misses a ???, they and all the helpers who arent on the mission will be missing the buff ;_; we lost STR+150 on our BLU and amano SAM... ops

The 2 people who were on the mission and did get thier ??? had STR boost.

Still won though, kinda easy with 2 whm

What i know is the 16 tablets gives u various tablet, not sure if outsider with no tablet will get 4k hp buff...u wont win without that buff as u will get 1 shot...

Does headbutt give the stun affect? If so, does the boss build resistence? I'm just wondering how you guys were able to deal with the White Shintatto while DD'n the Black one.

Oh yeah, what kind of numbers did you guys get off of Disseverments? Any tips you wanna share with your fellow BLU brethrens? LOL

Head butt did proc some stuns, but not always, so can't rely on it 100%. Also my disseverments were in the 600+ range usually, I was using Tav Taco though for the defense. Last night I did BLU/PLD to tank and DD and started off with an Azure Lore Chain Affinity Cannonball for 1750+. So damage varies a lot. They also resist damage more when they are lower hp.

Also, anyone know for sure if the mov+8% stacks with skadi's jambeaux? or is it like RNG with cuisses/jambeaux and no stack?

Movement doesn't stack.

War is interchangeable with Sam on anything you can hit, and arguably better if you can get away with Retaliation + Hasso.

Also I'm assuming for the DDers that /nin is fairly worthless with all the aga spam? Better off subbing /war for this or will that just get me killed right away?

RNG is fine, sub sam for meditate, bring icaus wing

remember, sam is not 100% needed, any skilled jobs can do this

we brought bard last night and i thought it was useless. whm's mp wasn't the issue, it was keeping up with cures during the ws spam. march would be effective, but other songs were kinda meh since you have such a significant stat boost anyways.

Had no idea you had WHM, that settles it then, Corr can go WAR np then. BRD is still in the air, DD songs would be nice but if Shon's DRG is decent he could bring that.

FYI:

For those of you unable to bring two WHM's, I spoke to several JP people who beat this last night, they used a setup of MNK SAM WHM COR BRD RDM. From what I understand they had the Mages stand behind the Toto's, I'm guessing RDM held one while they worked down the other.

Reason we use NIN to help counter AM2s and because of collecting tablets in DoR. We'd come back w/ SAM and WAR as SJs however one of our members is trying to play beat the clock.

Also Juciymama, should we try to hold one Shantotto away or keep them together since they'll just do that when they get to 75% anyway?

Tried this first time with MNK MNK RNG WHM SCH RDM

Didn't go so well, Healing duties were very stressed for WHM.

Tried again as SAM SAM RNG WHM WHM SCH and won.

Healing power is definitely required. I know its been said, but I'll beat it to death again.

Also: One of our SAMs died during the fight twice and ended up staying away from Shantotto. The RNG was far enough away that he wasn't getting nailed with AOE spells. This made healing MUCH easier just focusing on the SAM. To the person who asked about RNG: I think SAM RNG RNG might be good (/SAM), as long as you stay out of AOE as best as possible and don't pull hate. *Despite this though, the RNG wishes he came as SAM.

Just beat this, setup was:

WHM/??? x2 (One of them was 66)
SAM/NIN x2
MNK/NIN
WAR/NIN

Fight was pretty easy, after we took down Dark Shantotto the Light Shantotto was a breeze, she never hit us with Meteor like others reported though mind you.
