Gotta head to Norg and speak to a NPC called Andrause.

You gotta do some Pankration! Yes folks, taking pictures of monsters! The one thing they all missed!

Andrause provides you with Soultrapper + Plates for 800g each, and you gotta take a pic of Royal Leech, Marsh Sahagin, and a Devil Manta.

Oh fucking joy.

Edit: Apparently they are different for each person. My frend got Leech, RAzorjaw Pugil and lagoon sahagin

I got Bigclaw, Razorjaw Pugil, Shore Sahagin..

Doing all the avatars was a nice 50,000G. Was hoping for a key, but still decent.

Its alchemy.

There's no way this is only alchemy, unless it's high level alchemy (which would be silly since the synthesized item is "ex".) My character has Alchemy 52 skill and first synth I broke. (Other skills; Smithing 14, Clothcraft 1, Leathercraft 1, Cooking 8.)

Not only did I break, but I lost the Padded Box, and 2 Enchanted Inks that I just spent farming...

IMO I'd rather go back to farming against others' for Rare/Ex items with lower drop rates. This is absolutly terrible.

...At least I can enjoy the nexus cape.

Good luck figuring the rest out, I'm resigning for the moment out of pure frustration and time lost.

you know you can break when you are above the recipe level right?

if theres any pattern in this.. im pretty sure its 1 mob behind each of the 3 beastcoin doors...
so make sure you have a gold, mythril and silver beastcoin when you do SSG pokemon snap

edit: ok i had 1 behind gold and mythril.. but the third was on the way to silver...

3/7 items lost, earth day, facing correct direction, synth support on, with proper moon phase (even if they are all superstitions)? Of course I know it can happen. This character is a mule with craft levels. Sidestepping your sarcasm and profoundly useful post, the point is that this is the "fetch" quest. This is what they're having us do instead of the rare/ex farming. This is the "improvment" people were waiting for from the last two mini-expansions. So, while the rest of us post our crafting skills to try to hammer out the exact crafting levels to try to help the community out and figure out what the synth for the kits actually are, keep your well thought out and provoking posts to the drama thread.

After you trade all the 3 pictures he asked for (one at a time), he gives you the Black Book. After that, head to Gustav Tunnel~

He mentions the thought of "if you require another one", which would indicate that there will be a fight in Gustav..!

ok.. you gotta trade them 1 by 1 to the NPC.. when done he gives you a black book key item (which seems to be used for a BC, cos he says 'should more be required, you shall find me here)...

OK now I'm getting pissed off... broke an ink on Eld with only 20 alchemy. Farmed another blood in that shit hole and then came back and had it blow up on a 100+3 Alch mule.
