I know a number of people who won't ever own any of the above except maybe Askar. Given the gear they'll have access to they're probably better off using this piece and getting their 6-hit elsewhere, especially since it makes for a better WS piece. I'm mostly camping it to help my friends out. If for some reason none of them can make it out to get the drop, I'll have a shiny new body I can run around in for kicks.

I'd get it just to wear with Patro Helm :D

I'm guessing lottery, I found it up randomly 4 times in the last 3 days, but it hasn't popped in the last 18 hours. If it's a timed spawn it has insane variation, but the only cockatrice that was down when it's been up hasn't repopped in the same 18 hours.. I'm assuming ph is a shared spawn with something else that I didn't think to check.

Oh, alright there are 5 on the hill so I'll just go about killing them for the next few hours, thanks!

Not a chance in hell I'd switch my Mirke Wardecors for Ranger to a fucking Fauxbergeon for Dragoon. I wouldn't level Dragoon, either, but that's not really the point.

Not looking down on him Thorny, was taking a stab at the defeatist attitude is all; the only reason I even bothered to call him out on it. And nowhere did I say no one would get use out of it. Everything is a factor of time in this game, nothing is too difficult if you have patience. Cream Soda is actually and factually right, it is pretty useless at 75, given the multitude of options at that level that are easily attainable and more properly suited. Until then however, it's a ridiculously good piece.

Zahak's is hard to get for anyone who isn't in an HNMLS and isn't sitting on 3mil+ Gil already, also have you checked the AH lately >.< they don't sell very often.

Aurum is a bitch, even if you managed to get the Zeni, pre-items, and etc all by yourself, theres no guarantee it'll drop on the first, second, or even sixth time.

Askar is rather simple to get, pick-up 80's are a dime a dozen, and it has an -OK- drop rate, not awesome, but it will be easier to get than its other options for most people.

For some people leveling is difficult, its hard to imagine for most players but it is possible for some, its no fault but their own in most situations however.

ACP Body has better uses unless DRG is your only 75!

Theres a lot of reason Thrakon Body can be useful, and a lot of reason it wont be. really, Shut up, if you don't think its worth it then don't camp it, go away, and let those who would use it spend their time getting it.

What job did you solo/duo on? Think THF can solo? Standard gear, nothing spectacular.

There were 3 of us SMN/WHM, RDM/RNG and me TH4F/NIN
and i was afk when they killed it. <3 my LS friends who passed the body to me.

It killed the SMN who was with me and the RDM ended up killing it.

What job did you solo/duo on? Think THF can solo? Standard gear, nothing spectacular.

I don't think a THF even with evasion build could take it because it Stormwinds a lot. According to my log it looks like it spams it about every 30secs.


Also has anyone found where the Disciple Grip drops?

okay, so i been out here about 6hrs now hunting PHs for Picolaton. have a lil taru partner with me now and we have both been down to the d-10 area and neither of us has see a bird down there, anywhere. He spent a good hour down there. We have seen and killed Dahu twice though (0/2) i just find it hard to beleive SE would a PH for a NM down next to the spot another NM pops.

i got Pico last night at 1am, then again this morning at about 10-10:30 am. dunno if he was killed during the time i was away or not. went to bed after first kill, woke up and after a couple hours got him to pop again. If he wasnt killed in the time i was sleepin that would put him at a 10-12hr repop ? seems kinda long to me

Just killed Sugaar with a pt of 7. THF only melee and NIN tanked it /DRK with his back to it. Simple kill tho it seemed like the others linked onto it from a very very far distance. The 2 BLMs helped in handling the adds we got. NM uses only the Glow thing and the AoE paralyze move. Both can be avoided with your back to it. Simple kill, missed a lot.

A JP that was with us said on the JP wiki this drops the Lyft Polearm, if so yay! of course we got nothing.

How accurate was the bird? Could try thf/rdm or thf/whm for shell baraero and then spam bbolts...or still too tough?
