FFXI New NMs 11/9/09

So I've basically been trying to pop Picolaton all afternoon with no success. I've run down to D-10/C-10 a few times to see if there was a spawn there; nothing. I can say with certainty I haven't missed a pop. Are we just looking at a long window/true lotto mob, or is it possible the PH spawns in yet another place? There's 2 birds up here at the moment.

Has anyone seen Dahu Hair drop? and yeah Dahu can be anywhere it wants..... I have seen it on three corners of the map..... D-10, L-6, G-5....

Honestly Nite, after 28hrs of camping the GD bird, i know nothing other than the fact i can kill it.. its spawned 3 times for me in those 28 hrs which is really freakin sad.

Fuck that though I could have 20 jobs at 75 and my acp body would still have 10acc 3%DW on it.

On thread-topic, I've been camping Mind Hoarder. This thing is a real frigid bitch. 0/3 so far. Always takes 5+ hours to pop. Someone on Thf forums theorized it might be a 16 hour window like the shadows. *shrug* I really hate this thing.

Saw the lamia Euryale up while doing some running around, was at I-6, north from the lamia fang key area in the first map.

Didn't fight it since it was by the high level lamias so it is probably pretty mean.

May be 8+ hour lotto like Charybdis, the pop conditions and placeholder are similar.

I got it to drop today. Went 1/4 on it with TH4.

He spawns during earth weather and if he depops when weather is gone, he will respawn next weather. Seems to be about 2 hrish respawn but hard to tell with weather and all.

I've popped it approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes after my last kill. I assumed it was a 1 and 1/2 hour window with strict lotto after that. Like anything else in a dungeon that is lotto, the time adds up fast if it refuses to pop. Also, 0/9. ; ;

Hm, didnt see anyone post about it but Firedance Magmaal Ja seems to pop on the same map Gulool Ja Ja is on.... this makes it a bitch for me to attempt spawning ._.

Between the true sight mamool and the mobs all being VT.... I doubt it's anything short of a party NM. Man i wish people still partied back there to force a spawn.

In response to Picolaton, my girlfriend found that there is only one bird in the south and it has two spawn areas which alternate. The first of these positions is in the D-10 area, and the second is through the tunnel and up on the "cliff" where the unmarked entrance to Quicksand Caves is located. Someone still camping the NM should do some testing to see if that is the case. I have to say though the people who are just disregarding me saying this is pretty annoying.

Spent about an hour down in mamook, after killing Venomfang, looking for Firedance Magmaal Ja. Was expecting a timed repop considering the shit it takes to get there, nope. Its a lotto, presumably in the G-8 room (and I'm talking in the TS area, all the way near Gulool).

its not that im disregarding you Deac, its because of your info that ive burned 25 charges on my choco whistle riding down to this exact spot to never see a bird down there, covered every lil spec of d-10/11, up on the cliff, in the tunnel, and all around that lil loop there. both me and a friend i was camping with. neither of us saw a bird down there, anywhere. 0/4 on Dahu now btw, who seems to be poping for us during earth weather across from the emerald column.

I camped this earlier today and the bird does in fact spawn down there. Its a really large area so its actually kinda easy to miss. Take Widescan if you are having any trouble.

No idea what it drops, was just looking to fill out the missing nm drops.

All the new lottery NMs just seem evil. I've had terrible luck and really long lotteries
