FFXI New NMs 11/9/09

just got stomped hard by abatwa in crawl_s, sapling NM. was just me on mnk/nin and a DNC friend, was hitting us for ~250-300ish and constantly DA's, also seemed to have some kinda crazy regain, spammed slumber powder back to back a few times D:

Try to duo pld/nin nin/dnc, wiped for 2 time, Atonement with hate capped do 0 dmg, but banish do 2 dmg. They hit my pld for 120-240 (no critic) and 30-50 with sentinel up.

Jubaku and hojo was good maybe with rdm it's possibile kill him.

Spamming aoe sleepga.

Killed Duke Focalor in Xarcabard by where the Claustrum NM is in Dyna (why do I remember this shit?), no drop
Also, Humbaba at the southmost lake in Beaucedine, no drop, but 68 limit points w/o signet

Killed Thunder Claw Thuban in Sauromugue Champaign and he dropped Psyche Earring. Lvl 40 latent effect +15 mp.

H-11 zitah Huwasi golem NM hit a rng for 173, pld for 86 with attack down

duoed with a PLD and RNG. stood out of range and paladin just held hate

Theory for me is that the golem NM can pop wherever normal golems pop

This sounds about accurate. Friend on a different server claimed to have seen him in another area as well.

Found a Fomor Mithra NM in the South Eldieme Necropolis area. Fell down to the bottom from the N drops (G-6)ish. It was dual wielding 2 of the new knife designs, had true sight, and draw in. There were a ton of mobs around, so managed to kill me in a few seconds.

Found Brazen Bones in Toraimarai Canal. Its right in the open area before full moon fountain at (H-9). Not sure which map cause I am lying dead right now after trying to solo it on pld/nin. Fairly decent double attack rate with 273-340 dmg per hit unsentineled and no shield block, add effect dmg of around 50s, ice spikes return dmg back was in the 60s plus the paralyze potency on it was quite high.

PS anyone on asura wanna raise my sorry ass

EDIT: Also looks like the glowy stuff scattered throughout toraimarai canal are possibly for Shantoto similarly like fei'yin for ACP

Just killed Marquis Sabnock in Castle Zvahl Baileys. Dropped Astrolabe, +3 acc and STR+1. Posting a pic soon.

Spammed the fuck out of Quadra Strike and had En-DrainTP? I guess is what you'd call it? Easy fight as THF/NIN WHM/SCH though. Definitely coming back tomorrow and trying to pop this shit, as I lost lot very nice ranged piece.
