FFXI New NMs 11/9/09

Has to be a trick to the Fomor NM, Tried Elatha and It's even worse. Its the great sword weapon. Levelled up like the last one absorbed damage from magic and physical, not fire though.

Maybe you can't damage those fomors until you have hit them with that new RA/EX - RNG Hightail Bullet that drops from the Zirnitra HNM?

Yeah pic of one of the Fomor NMs leveling up.

Used only ice elemental spells (Blue Magic and Black magic).

Seems it was weak to fire spells - didn't seem like they countered those.

Ethniu - ?? Someone check the dats, I would guess Eldieme Necropolis, it's the only [S] zone with only 2 known new NMs

Eldieme Necropolis [S] is correct. From the DAT, it'll probably be where all the Gazers (Hecteyes) are, wherever that is.

Or maybe you need to kill them with the lvl 75 dmg 1 weapon of the type you are fighting...... fun...

After it "levels up" seems to absorb all damages, cure spells however damages it.
Spams ince spikes, paralyga, blizzaga 3, ice break, cold wave, grim halo

Camped Marquis Sabw/e today. It's definately a lotto pop. I'm assuming from one of the 2 abyssal demons in the room. One of the abyssals is a lotto with an arch demon. So i'm guessing it's the other one. Got drop 1/1. Tried to solo it didn't work out so well lol. Some pld happened by and tried to heal me. But elvaans just don't have enough mp. I managed to get it to 25% then it spammed me with quadrastrike back to back to back..... to back.... and killed me. Not really too hard to evade it on thief though. My thief only has +39 evasion and +10 evasion skill because i don't really care about it that much. Managed to evade it enough that just needed to cast after quadrastrikes.

edit: any time it has magic cast on it then it immediately casts blizzard4 on that target similar to gulool ja ja with vorpal whell

Hmm. apparently it only heals from attacks when it is casting magic, and it takes normal damage when its not casting anything hope this helps the other group, we are starting to take it down slowly

Anyone run into Holey Horror yet??

Its in Sanc of Zitah H-8

It seems to have 3 spawns at the same time up, 1 form is COMPLETELY immune to melee damage, i was on pup with rng frame and neither of us was dealing it damage.

Its a BLM mob, casts burst, flood, aspir, frost...

I by the time i switched frames it was day light, so it seems like it only spawns at night.

It is a ghost.

Edit: I dont know where some people get this is the 2nd time i've done this, usually I just ask simple questiond and people get offended.. BTW, I didnt look and i didnt care to look.

found Tethra, hes surrounded by bombs and is a cute cuddly little taru!! he had a staff, and casted Filamented Hold as well as Magnetite Cloud and hit me way harder then the mithra

Elatha heals if you attack him when he is casting spells or if he is doing a tp move.
