I doubt anyone has any idea of what to do with these weapons as of yet?

just finished killing Kotan-Kor Kamuy and got the horn to drop. Took about 3hrs for us to pop it off the hippo's by witchfire glenn. tried to duo it with pld/nin and whm/sch but ended up wiping. This can hit a well geared pld for anywhere from 80-250dmg a hit and triple attacks somewhat frequently. we ended up switching to kiting with blm/nin, blm/rdm and whm/sch. that took like 2-3hrs to kill dot'ing and kiting around the lakes.

some things we observed in our attempt:
-only used jettatura and hoof volley
-when jettatura is used, hoof volley will be used immediately afterwords and will consume 1 shadow (if shadows are up)
-i think someone said they kept losing hate because of water earlier in thread. if you do not run through the water it will NOT deaggro even w/o dots on.
-was resistant to magic


so yeah, i dont recommend trying to low man this. but then again i'm not really experienced in duo'ing/solo'ing nms either. Screenshots below.

Just duoed Boompadu in Alzadaal undersea ruins. RDM/NINx2. Started fight as BLM and soon as other RDM got there left and came back RDM/NIN. Just kited around a portal using Bio repeatedly with the occasional elemental nuke. couldnt figure out weakness other than stone 3 usually went unresisted. killed and only dropped light crystal. another PT otw to merit asked if needed help. invited them and within 2 minutes they were dead from AoEs. Kiting seems to be the best way to go. easily outran without + movement speed.

Goaftrap, (L-12) Misareaux Coast

Has extremely low delay, and spams Gloesuccus. Pretty much follows the same pattern as several other NMs. Picks on TP move, and just spams that one. Had no troubles THF/RNG. Spammed Bloody Bolts, and used evasion gear. Seems to be a timed spawn, considering there are no other traps in the area. Don't think there are any traps in Misareaux period.

Dropped nothing, but will keep checking up on it.

Was it up? Did you have to kill any of the Hippos to get it to pop?

this nm is the squishiest one so far....

is earth based, blm obviously. no spikes but it puts up stoneskin often has en petrify on its normal attacks.
