FFXI New NMs 11/9/09

I'm partially convinced this NM may drop Wilhelm's Earring. Has it been proven that there's a correlation between the mobs that drop the set items? For instance, do they belong to the same family? If so, I'm definitely convinced.

The only thing holding me back in thinking that is they do have separate spawning conditions as well. But I guess when one of us gets a drop we'll know right.

Timed, we didn't kill a single Lycopodium. We actually had all the Lycopdium in the area following us while we fought them.

After camping Acolnahuatcatl it seems to be an exact 90-120 minute window, seen him several times at 90 minutes on the dot, and now once at 120. Not sure if it's lotto, I saw spawn in the exact spot twice, where another Coeurl normally spawns ontop of another spawn point on a coeurl it seems.

Killed Okyupete. No drop. But the PH is Diatryma 1. The first in the list right above the nm.

is how it would look on widescan. I had change dthe names of all the diatryma in the zone (there's only 10) to find this out. If the post about it dropping shepard's chain is true i'm done. Maybe someone else can confirm drop.

Well that explains why it never popped when I was killing the 2nd and 3rd ones for 3 hours Sorry guys, must have accidentally killed the first one at some point.

Anyone that can confirm or deny the pop conditions/location for Barbaric Weapon? Wiki is kind of unclear.

I think its just timed, considering the one time I fought it, it was just up, with no other weapons around the spine. Could be wrong, however.

lack of ANY info on morana's pigaches is annoying. are there any smn job NM out there, or unexplored zones we haven't really covered?

Alright well... I still haven't managed to spawn the Meriph_S scorp NM. Gotta take a break to climb Parradamo/do ENMs but I'll be back at it afterwards. Good luck to anyone else trying to pop this thing.

Placeholder is A-4, popped in the same location and I'd just come from killing the other ones in that area. About to try to solo, more to follow.

EDIT: Well, damn. Resisted Gravity, Bind, and Sleep. Has 30/tic Enpoison. Gonna see if I can grab some friends and try again... hits about as hard as the placeholders, maybe a little harder.

I think he's got 100% Double Attack, the 3 times he's hit me were all DAs at any rate. There's a spot where you can exploit pathing right by his pop, there's a tower and a rock outcropping that you can run back and forth at. Going to try to Bio II him down... estimating 10k HP.

EDIT: He has less than 10k HP, not sure exactly how much though.
