FFXI New NMs 11/9/09

Just soloed Splacknuck in Bibiki Bay and got Knack Pendant. Not sure if this has been posted before, but it's not in the first post so gonna post it just incase. Doesn't look too bad.
Dex+4 Attack+2 lvl 67 all jobs neck piece, incase the pic won't work for some reason. Very easy solo for bst btw. 2 houred a VT catoblebas and that got Splacknuck to 50%, then I just tossed a Courier Carrie and two Rarabs at it and it was done.

Take the entrance near Giddeus. (F-6) Last room once inside, near the Apparatus. There's a bunch of skeletons + a slime in that room, one of the skeletons is the PH.

Yeea it should be decent for THF. And good for it's lvl. Love Torque is better at +5 DEX, but after that's it's tied with Kubira Beads and Ancient Torque with +4 DEX. If we're looking at it DEX vise. Cheaper and easier to get option maybe. I'm gonna use it for my BRD Evisceration macro >.>

Aaand can find Knack Pendant from ffxiclopedia so guess it has been found out already. I just checked the page for Bibiki Bay and Splacknuck wasn't there, but maybe the page just wasn't updated yet or something. Oh well.

Wonder if TH is broken in Treasure Hound areas,i was farming a coffer key yesterday with TH4 for 5 hours till it droped wich is rediculous.

I've been soloing Gharial as COR/BLM after pulling it to the Aht Urhgan tower as COR/NIN. Pulling it over there isn't so bad, you can go east past the Leypoint or you can go along the north route, just make sure to avoid aggro (tigers are most challenging). Gharial will lose hate frequently even with DoTs, so you have time to reset if needed.

After Job Change, just kite it and QD, stick close to the tower (it moves at 12%, so be sure to make tight turns or he can catch up on occasion), stay out of range, keep DoT on it if you can so when you lose hate it doesn't start regenning. Like some others have said, it hits like a mack truck and almost exclusively double attacks with every round. Whenever it gets TP, it'll use Demoralizing Roar followed immediately by Boiling Blood, I didn't see any other moves at all.

Took about 40-45 minutes to kill, it has around 15-16k HP. Gives 345 EXP with Sanction on. 0/2 on the drop

Yeah, those all look extremely meh. They definitely look like subjob earrings, there's 20 of them, and their stats/names correspond with jobs. I mean, the MAB +1 one would be ahead of Morion for that level for RDM and SCH anyway, but at 75, they're all pretty pointless. Even at 40, they're probably not even worth camping for the most part. Maybe there's a hidden effect or something.

0/3 Goblintrap I take my earlier statement back...pretty sure I couldn't solo it as COR/THF, think it's just about as hard as Goaf...maybe with my NPC though.

Was running around in Misareaux Coast yesterday, and found Goaftrap up. killed it, it dropped 1/1.

Not realizing that it was a rare drop, I let the friend of a friend I was in party with freelot it out, and they won >.<

so now starting the drudgery of camping it on my own, 0/2 on both it and Goblintrap so far. Goblintrap PH is really easy to pick out, though, even without .dat mods or widescan.
