FFXI New NMs 11/9/09

Second pop of Ankabut. Repopped after about an hour of killing the PHs. No drop again. I think it Triple Attacked once this time, I was watching it a little more. First time I was worried it might actually kill me.

(And in case it wasn't obvious from being a spider, Huge Spiders link with it, and it links with Huge Spiders)

Same pop conditions I mentioned before. Haven't determined which of the 3 bombs is Hazmat's PH as I'm camping THF/NIN, but they die fast enough its not an issue to just kill all of them.

Edit: Just saw a SS on AH, Ankabut drops Tsugumi. I can't link because of post count, but pick is classified as Item >> Tsugumi

Any info about Herbage Hunter in Tahrongi Canyon? Been here for roughly 1 1/2hr now and no pop. Wiki says it's at H-6 but there was a post here saying G-5 and that it's a crawler.

0/2 on Frogamander here too. i'll continue camping till someone manages a screenshot of drops. so far 2 kills, 2 dark crystals and 190 limit points yay. I'm killing as rdm/nin so you'll likely get drop before me. my thief buffer too low to risk dying.

Yea Hazmat is in the room with 3 Bombs and 2 Droma, Frogamander has always popped in the right side dead end tunnel, where a coffer can pop for me, theres a Tainted Flesh in the left tunnel at coffer, I've never had to kill it for Frog to pop.

Going to bed now, will probably check in on them when I wake up, time allowing before work.

Edit: Got some bad news for Toxic Tamlyn... hoping i'm wrong, was killing the PH at G-8/H-8 (Or what i thought was PH), and well mid fighting the PH, Water Weather poped, and so did Toxic Tamlyn, right next to me.

Agreed. Even the low lvl NMs I can't get a drop on. Only have TH3, but still! Would be nice to see a drop.

Though I am sure its been rather obvious, the new synergy dialog confirmed that these aptants are needed for etching into equipment evolith slots. Different equipment will require different types of aptant apparently.

Is this soloable? (I tried duo MNK+RDM and went fine but I'd like to solo it not to ask help to other people) any idea if pld/rdm or /dnc or nin/dnc could solo this?

I'm sure NIN/DNC can solo. I saw a SAM that posted a pic of him getting drop, seems like he solo'd it. He was using a soboro by the looks of it, so maybe SAM/DNC.

Go with NIN/DNC, go with evasion. Shadows get wiped fairly quickly because of Quadrastrike.

Just finished Mr.Timeworn Warrior again, this time as PLD/RDM

some things, Endrain is not 100%, but its close, maybe 75%. has pretty low attack power, kept stoneskin/phalanx up and he barely took 100HP total, and that was inbetween casting Stoneskin...

No drop, 40 Exp again. everytime i've killed him he's given 40 exp.
