I'm sure NIN/DNC can solo. I saw a SAM that posted a pic of him getting drop, seems like he solo'd it. He was using a soboro by the looks of it, so maybe SAM/DNC.

Go with NIN/DNC, go with evasion. Shadows get wiped fairly quickly because of Quadrastrike.

Ya, he's not kidding. Popped it with a few people and my sam friend was using hasso and got pummeled. He didn't die but I kept having to spam him, lol.

So does anyone know how to pinpoint down a spawn location for Visiliceratops (which btw doing some research means "Royal Horned Head" which definitely is Wivre). I spent last night just killing random ass Wivres hoping to get it to pop... I'm a 360 player so I don't know all the cool tricks

Something new about flockbock, I've been killing him on cor nearly every pop, but instead of popping at H-9, today he popped near amaltheia spawn area. *Had a thf friend with me looking for new nm's* So check both areas if you plan on camping him.

Flockbock is COR soloable? I was under the impression it moved at half-flee speed.

He is indeed soloable. *once again screenshots blocked by posting limits*
I pulled him to where the colorful leshy spawn is and kite in that wide circle, when you're on the straight path you get breathing room for shadows/rolls etc, cause he takes a really wide turn getting you about 30 yalms ahead. Shots did about 3% of its health, 4% if obi and day is up. Only danger is if you lock up animation and he gets you with shadows down, but no tp regain, so no petri breath.

no hes not i went 1-3 and died nin/dnc but did duo sam/dnc and thf/nin but had to 2hr due to 10x quadrastrikes to the face lol.

could be HP from WAR or PLD and MNK gets the VIT earring, it might not follow the same patern as the sub job earring but its possible >.O

as long as your friend has every job unlocked just go to Jeuno and /job change until the earring activates?

Sat in Nashmau, equipped on my alt blm/whm.

I switched every job, no hp bonus.
I switched every sub job, no hp bonus.
I matched alt's job of blm/whm, no hp bonus.

Unless I was switching too fast, or you have to unequip/re-equip to get the HP, its something else.

I'm sorry but I don't know how you could possibly die to that thing as NIN/DNC >_> its accuracy is horrid. Even with it spamming Quadrastrike, you should be able to survive. I'm gonna go try this after Omega, since my opinion doesn't matter much considering I haven't attempted a solo on NIN/DNC.

how hard does it hit generally? If its accuracy is that horrendous, might as well nin/dnc in full eva gear and just use waltz, and exploit the the fact that quadrastrike should generally miss completely without shadows, instead of losing 4 each time.

it was hitting me (as MNK/NIN) for about 150-230 each hit, quadrastrike was for about 300-600, sometimes I just tried to run out of range (successfully) and keep hitting it while running, when I was mnk it's accuracy was not so horrid but when I went thf I got three shots and died lol (even with full eva gear it was hitting me for above 500 with quadras)...:\
also 0/4, its drop rate sucks. FU SE...

edit: it resisted gravity, bind and sleep, if anyone is interested

Timeworn Warrior is immune to Sleep, Bind, and Gravity, what a surprise. Solo'd on BLM/RDM. Kited him around the nearest large outcropping to the north, taking advatage of bad pathing around a small outcropping next to it to gain distance to deaggro. No drop of course.

You could probably burn him down with T4 spam without going to the trouble of kiting as his HP is pretty low, but he was hitting me for anywhere between 100 and 250 damage so I decided not to chance it. I'd put him at just under 5k HP.

Killed Bashe, since it hasnt been mentionned, its PH pops at I-8, however the NM spawns at I-9, pretty far down at I-9 too.

You could probably burn him down without going to the trouble of kiting

He's like level 58 when I killed him (50EXP at 75), Fenrir just meleed him to death. You really shouldn't even need to "burn him down", it's about as hard as a normal easy prey monster, perhaps even a bit weaker.

Sorry, I should have clarified; that was in reference to soloing him BLM/RDM. If I'd dicked around he would have killed me, but spamming T4 and kiting are both viable kill methods. I just didn't want to take the chance of getting fucked over by random resists or an ill-timed crit, so I defaulted to kiting.

I posted info about bashe on page 44. The PH can also spawn pretty far south as well. I'm sure you meant L-8 and L-9 too.

Saw a few pages back people having problems popping eldritch edge. Repop time is indeed 90-120 minutes from tod. Been killing the 2 weapons near the spine in K-9 at the southern end. If a weapon doesn't repop check the spine at the north end. The nm itself only pops at the south spine. The placeholders are 5 minute repop. I've noticed if one of them is late to pop then the nm is likely to pop in its place. Soloed as blm/rdm. Haven't seen a melee job solo. Rng/nin claimed and got it to 50% before he wiped. 0/3 on earring >.>

150~200 or so on normal hits, and his acc is bad I know with yuki's blind effect and my evasion gear he had around 25~40% hit rate; with nin/dnc no reason can't cap out evasion vs him, which should make him easy. Though I'd recommend not wsing and just saving tp since nin has slowing tp gain than sam/dnc with soboro.
